We had something else planned for today but honestly it can wait. 💔

This week we've lost two absolute legends and we think that deserves a moment.

Dolly Parton and Tim Curry — two icons, two entirely different flavors of magic, both completely irreplaceable. The world is a little less sparkly now and we feel it.

So we're skipping the scheduled content and going straight to the important questions instead:

Small dog parents — we see you and we are SO sorry. There was a manufacturer mix up on the small dog dental chews but they are on their way and we will have them in ASAP. Hang tight, your tiny chompers are not forgotten! 🐾

Our Summer Scent of the Season has officially left the building and honestly we are not okay about it. It was sweet, it was bright, it was everything. Gone too soon.

BUT — every ending is a beginning, and that beginning smells like fall. 🍂

Hey all! Let's talk about nails. 🐾

Before we dive in: This post is purely educational, not pet parent shaming! Life is busy, toenails are easy to forget about, and we get it. No judgment here, just information. 🤝

We know, we know.
Nail trims are (usually) nobody's favorite appointment. But the photo you're looking at right now is exactly why we talk about them so much.

When a dog's nails grow too long, a few things start to happen:

🐾 The nail pushes back into the paw with every step, forcing the toes and foot to compensate. Over time this causes the toes to splay outward and the foot to actually reshape itself around the nail growth — which is exactly what you're seeing here even after the trim.

🐾 Long term overgrown nails change the way a dog walks entirely, putting abnormal pressure on the joints, wrists, and spine. Think of it like wearing shoes that are three sizes too small, every single day.

🐾 In severe cases, nails can curl back and grow directly into the paw pad — and in the most extreme cases, we've personally seen nails complete a full circle and continue growing out the other side.

The good news? Consistent nail maintenance prevents all of this. Even if your dog has already got some splay happening, regular trims allow the quick to recede over time and give the foot the best possible chance to recover.

So how often should you be trimming? Ideally every 4–6 weeks! If your pup is on an 8–12 week haircut schedule, we offer standalone nail trims for just $15 — it takes about 5 minutes and makes a world of difference for their long term foot and joint health. Easy drop-in, big payoff. 😄

Y'all. We asked, you answered, and honestly? You answered SO fast and SO loudly that we didn't even wait. 😂

Dental Care won the vote overwhelmingly and we are not ones to argue with a landslide. Within hours of that poll going up, we went ahead and ordered a bunch of dental options that are already on their way to the salon. That's how we do things around here. 🤝

We're talking dental powders, meal toppers, sprays, and more — all aimed at keeping those puppy chompers clean and that puppy breath just a little more tolerable. 🦷✨

We'll do a proper product reveal once everything arrives and we've had a chance to sniff, inspect, and obsess over it all. Stay tuned! 🎸🐾

We've been heads down over here keeping up with all your fur babies and we are so grateful for each and every one of you — seriously, thank you for your continued support. It means the world.

Just wanted to pop in with a little friendly heads up — we are almost completely booked for the rest of July (we literally only have 4 appointment spots left), and August is already starting to fill in too! If your pup is due for a groom or you've just been meaning to get them in, sooner rather than later is definitely the move.

Today we're celebrating the good stuff — community, freedom and justice for all, the smell of something grilling, and dogs in bandanas who have absolutely no idea what a holiday is but are having a great time anyway.

We hope you get to spend today with people you love, doing something that makes you happy. That's kind of the whole point, isn't it?

Good afternoon y'all! 🐾
We've held off on this a little bit because honestly, we weren't sure what to say. But after seeing some interesting opinions floating around the interwebs lately, we figured... might as well share our own bizarre ones too. So here goes!

We see ALL kinds of dogs here. Every shape, size, and pupsonality, and we absolutely live for it. 🐩🐕 Could you imagine how boring life would be if it was just labs all day every day? We love you labs, we mean it. But we also love our shih tzus, chihuahuas, catahoulas, doodles and oodles of every persuasion. We've got a soft spot for a little doggy diversity around here. 🐾

And honestly? We feel the same way about our humans. 🥰

We don't care if you're red or blue, black or white, rainbow colored or strictly a solid shade situation. We just care about respect and kindness toward ALL our neighbors. We've only got one rule here: don't be a jerk. That's it. That's the whole list. 😂

Every client deserves the same dognity (not a typo) and respect we give our four legged friends, and we love our humans as unconditionally as our pets love us. Yes, THAT unconditionally. 2am Oreo binge on the couch for the twelfth time unconditional. No judgment. Ever. 🍪
