Fourteen years ago, one very special senior dog inspired a promise: the oldest, sickest and most overlooked pups deserve to be safe, comfortable and deeply loved, too. 💙
Lizzy had spent much of her life chained to a tree. At around 13 years old, she was finally given the life she should have had all along—a home, compassionate care, freedom, companionship and so much love.
That promise became Lizzy’s Animal Hospice.
For 14 years, Lizzy’s has welcomed elderly and terminally ill dogs out of shelters and into home environments. Some have found wonderful forever families. Others have remained with us for loving end-of-life care. Every one of them has mattered, and every one has known they were finally home.
None of this would be possible without the fosters who open their homes, the adopters who open their hearts, the volunteers who give their time, and the donors and supporters who make this work possible. Whether you have been with us since the beginning or discovered Lizzy’s yesterday—thank you for helping us continue her legacy.
Happy 14th Anniversary to Lizzy’s Animal Hospice—and to 14 years of saving those most in need of love and companionship. 🐾💙
