Stellar Farms & Stockdogs Stellar Cattle Dogs firmly believe in working dogs that can be great family dogs too! Our dogs are AKC registered, health tested, and herding instinct tested.

Stellar Cattle Dogs work hard and love their jobs! We use our dogs on the farm almost daily. They are our companions as well as our workers. All of our dogs work with a lot of natural ability and live for making us happy! We believe in health testing and doing everything we can to better the breed. Our dogs are tested for hip dysplacia, PRCD, and are BAER tested. Come on by and check us out! We love talking about dogs and showing ours off.

Happy 4th birthday to our Rash X Rave litter! This was a really nice cross with lots of talented pups. We dont get to celebrate with Gabby today because she's still in Texas for breeding but we will get to see her later this week and I know Erin is loving on her a little extra for us today. I'm hopeful for our first litter out of her this winter!🙏🤞

There's always work to do on a farm. My wonderfully handy husband built me new sheep holding/lambing pens. I now have 10 pens instead of 5. We got the greenhouse plastic replaced from the hail storm and added a shade cloth to it. Excited to put these pens to use next weekend!

Yes, I rode my daughters four wheeler out to work Flint because mine was buried behind the mower and a truck

Taking some rams to the sale barn and I forgot to put scrapies tags in yesterday, so we did it by flashlight in the trailer bright and early this morning 😵‍💫

Great news here today! We took Flint in for his PennHIP testing to check the laxity in his hip joints. He scored great! .27/.27 ranking him in the top 5% of the breed!
PennHIP has really nailed down the process of submitting and processing their testing. When I first started breeding it took a couple weeks to get results back. They had results back today before I was allowed to pick Flint up! This is awesome because the doctor was able to give me her feedback as well as PennHIP's comments.

Nothing like waking up on a Saturday morning to your guardians in full pursuit of a coyote! It slipped through the field that they were in and went into the cow pasture and couldn't figure out how to get out. Hubby ran out there and let them through the gate. I was literally still in my jammies and had no shoes on. They found it again. I think it was laying down trying to hide and it finally took off across the field and they got up to it rolled it and it did end up getting away from them and got under a gate. But holy cow was that and adrenaline rush! I know these dogs are doing their jobs but it is something else to see it in action.

LGDs are HARD! Don't get me wrong. But maybe they are worth the headache 😵‍💫 I have been out on the four wheeler and checked on everyone and they are all good. Picture of the two good dogs from back when things were greener

Several tools in the toolbox are better than one! Nose bite and a front foot bite got this steer to turn and burn 💪
