Ready... Set... Sunday! Please help us share our big pop up adoption event tomorrow at the Petsmart in Florence Ky from 11-3. That's Sunday May 31st! We will have 50 dogs/pups & 20 cats/ kittens to choose from. 70 pets waiting and hoping that this will be their lucky day!

If you can't attend or adopt, that's OK! You can still help us with a simple like and share. You can find a sample below of some of the babies that will be onsite tomorrow.

Mama Bee - Days in Rescue 32

This sweet 3-year-old dachshund/beagle mix came into rescue with her litter of Buzzing Bees!. At around 25 pounds, Mama Bee is the perfect sized cuddle buddy — equally happy exploring outside or curled up next to you on the couch.

Mama Bee loves walks and does wonderfully on leash. She also gets along great with cats and has been living peacefully with two feline friends. While she can be a little shy with new people at first, once you earn her trust (bonus points if you have snacks 🍖), her loving personality starts to shine through.

Marion Bs : Blaze - Days in Rescue 11

Blaze is a handsome 6-month-old puppy born in December with a heart as big as his paws. According to his Embark results, he is a unique mix of several breeds, with Pitbull and Great Pyrenees being the two most prominent. His personality reflects the best of both — loyal, gentle, affectionate, and incredibly loving.

Blaze has quickly become a favorite among everyone he meets. He does wonderfully with kids, cats, dogs, and new people, making him a very well-rounded companion for the right home. While still young, Blaze has a naturally calm and sweet temperament and loves spending time close to his people. Some of his favorite things include morning and evening walks, relaxing car rides, tasty treats, and of course, pup cups. 🍦🤍

He already knows several basic commands including sit, extended sit, and down. Blaze is also crate trained and settles very well in his crate. He is still learning potty training, as expected for his age, and will benefit from consistency and patience in his new home.

Blaze is being rehomed due to circumstances that are completely unrelated to him. The decision was made with his best interest in mind, as the prior pets in the home were not adjusting well to the change, and it became clear that he would do best in a different environment where he can truly thrive long-term.

His ideal home would include a gentle and patient handler, a fenced-in backyard, and plenty of room to roam and enjoy the outdoors. Blaze would do best with a family committed to continuing his training, giving him structure, and most importantly, providing him with the love and stability every puppy deserves.

Blaze is an incredibly special boy with so much love to give, and he is ready to find a forever family to call his own. ❤️

(Just listed - was a medical intake)

Who loves a good game of red light, green light?? This guy is amazing at stopping you in your tracks to be sure he’s with you at all times! He is crate trained (will whine some), fixed, up to date on vaccinations. Guessing 2 yrs old. He loves his human and tolerates the bonus ones. He can NOT be in a home with children or a home that may someday have children. The perfect forever home would be a single person that has a lot of time and energy to put into one life long partner. Shortly after coming into rescue he was diagnosed with EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency). Short explanation for a long word… his body doesn’t absorb nutrients from food he eats. He is on a very strict diet. He must have enzymes on every single meal and b12 intrinsic every morning. These 2 meds are life sustaining. Without them he will starve to death slowly. Along with normal kibble he will need some supplemental foods such as bananas, yogurt, baby foods. This boy lives up to his name Steel. He has been through it yet pushed on everyday to get where he is today! Literally a rock star! Due to the ravenous appetite of his body believing it’s starving he can NOT be around children and may always show a bit of food aggression and resource guarding. His future is looking bright and pretty normal but there is always a risk of increased meds and adding others to the regime to keep him healthy. I won’t bore every reader with the in and outs of EPI but for any potential adopter I am willing to go through what things look like on the daily now and what his future looks like very in-depth. He does have a small amount of separation anxiety which will most likely always be a part of him due to his need to know he will get that next meal. He doesn’t mind other dogs but for some reason he sure isn’t a favorite on the playground. Would be best as an only dog but could coexist with another dog as long as the other dog isn’t going to over step boundaries and the adopter is going to be very attentive and not leave then alone together without supervision. He’s more of a loner that loves his toys and his one best human friend! He must be crated when left alone due to his love for food. This guy will literally be a best friend to his adopter.

Wednesday Surprise : Scooter - Days in Rescue

I’m Scooter, and I’d like to clear up a common misunderstanding.

I am not “following you around.”

I am simply making sure you don’t have to go anywhere alone.

If you’ve ever wished for a dog-shaped shadow, I would like to formally apply for the position.

I’m a 5-month-old terrier mix with a scruffy face, a huge heart, and absolutely no concept of personal space. My favorite thing in the whole world is being with my people. Belly scratches rank a very close second.

When I first meet new people, I can be a little shy. But give me a few minutes and you’ll discover that I’m secretly a professional cuddle bug who hands out kisses like they’re going out of style.

I also love other dogs. My foster brother helped me build my confidence, and now I’ve discovered that life is a lot more fun when you have a buddy by your side. We even share a crate because I do much better with a friend than being left alone. I even get along wonderfully with cats. The cats around here don’t always appreciate my attempts to shower them with kisses, but I think they’ll come around eventually.

As for school, I’m doing pretty great. I already know “sit,” wait patiently for my “ok” release cue, and I’m making excellent progress with potty training.

I love food, have a great attention span, and am always eager to learn. Show me a treat and I’m ready to focus!

When I’m not snuggling or training, you can usually find me:

* Getting the zoomies in the yard
* Following my humans around like a fuzzy little shadow
* Hiding bones in the couch for “later” (don’t ask me where—I have my secrets)

I’m looking for a family that wants a loyal sidekick, a professional kiss-giver, and a dog who thinks every day is better when spent together.

Marion Bullgles : Finn - Days in Rescue 49 (last of his litter)

Hi! I’m Finn, and if you’re looking for grace, elegance, and coordination… I have some disappointing news.

I’m an 8-month-old Beagle/Bulldog mix whose enthusiasm occasionally exceeds my ability to steer. I approach life at full speed, which means I sometimes accidentally run into things, trip over my own feet, or bulldoze my way through obstacles that I probably could have walked around.

What can I say? I’m just excited to be here.

I’m a happy-go-lucky guy with a permanent smile and a talent for making people laugh. Whether I’m playing with dog friends, exploring the yard, or flopping over for belly rubs, I make sure every day is an adventure.

I’m also crushing it in school:

🐾 Doing amazing with potty training
🐾 Perfecting the art of looking adorable for treats

One thing you should know about me: I LOVE my crate. While some dogs see a crate as a prison, I see mine as a luxury suite. Sometimes I just head in there by myself when I need a nap. Room service hasn’t arrived yet, but I’m remaining hopeful.

I get along great with other dogs and love roughhousing with my canine buddies. I’m also good with cats, though I occasionally wonder why they don’t want to wrestle.

As for exercise, I enjoy it… in moderation. If you ask me to do something for too long, I may file a formal complaint through dramatic sighs and exaggerated expressions. I prefer activities that happen on Finn Time™.

Meet Batman! This handsome 7 month old pup is packed full of personality and loves to have fun. He’s a goofy, playful boy who keeps everyone smiling with his silly antics. Batman is crate trained, potty trained, up to date on vaccines, and walks well on a leash too.
He’s an all-around great pup who does well with other dogs, cats, and kids. If you’re looking for a happy, social companion, Batman may be your perfect match! Best guess on breed is a Bully or Cane Corso Mix.
