Let’s see how many people we can make mad today! Sweet old Biscuit, one of the last 2 of the Great 8, was MISERABLE in this heat and humidity so we shaved her. Yes we did! And I bet she will be COOLER and HAPPIER! 100° and 95% humidity is not an ideal climate for these poor dogs. But when we do get them, we will keep them comfortable. And if you argue that the undercoat keeps them “cool”, I disagree. Maybe in the Pyrenees Mountains where they originated. Not in Texas.
