Walking Home Together has been keeping a secret and her name is Pepper. She came to us with two puppies, Peppermint and Pepperoni. We think she is a chihuahua mix. Right now she is very protective of the pups so we are giving her time to settle in and get comfortable. This sweet mom doing a great job.

I put Myra to bed at about three this morning and went check on her around five. I just wanted to have a quiet moment with her before the sun came up, but God had other plans. Myra passed in her sleep. I know she was welcomed by many and has a new, healthy body. Please let your family and friends know you love them.

Well, I took Myra to the vet today and the diagnosis was what I expected, but really wanted to be told I was overreacting. She has a congenital deformity called pectus exavatum, funnel chest. The sternum and rib cartilage grow inward. Myra had surgery and will will need to be seen weekly for checkups and will wear a wrap until healed. This will be a long journey. I will cover her expenses because she will more than likely join our gang permanently. She will be fine. Me? I just want her home.

1. Walk outside without them.
2. Ask them what crazy person let them out.
3. Sit in a chair for 5 minutes and ignore them.
4. Ok, maybe "me time" is a bit overrated.
