Elsa is ready to "Let it Go" and leave shelter life behind! This sweet girl has grown up in the shelter, but she's dreaming of a forever home. At just 1 year old, Elsa is a water-loving pup who adores people, including kids, and gets along great with other dogs. We are overjoyed to announce that Fitness Mom, affectionately known as Mama, has found her forever home! 🏡❤️ After months of waiting and countless moments of love and care in her foster home, Mama has finally been adopted by a wonderful family.

Mama's journey from the shelter to a loving home has been filled with patience, growth, and lots of tail wags. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who shared her story, cheered her on, and believed in her.

🐾 Hi everyone, Fitness Mom, aka Mama, here! 🐾

I wanted to share a bit about myself in the hopes of finding my forever family. My foster mom took me in because I was so stressed at the shelter that I was hurting myself. I've been here for over 8 months without any interest, but I promise I'm worth it! ❤️

I'm good with kids, dogs, puppies, and people. I'm also crate trained and potty trained, and I know key words like “kennel,” “inside,” “outside,” and “potty.” I'm very food motivated, which makes training fun and easy! 🍖

When you first meet me, I might be a bit shy. It took me about 2 weeks to start opening up at my foster home, but once I did, I became the easiest foster my mom has had in years. I sleep all night on a bed in her bedroom and I absolutely adore her 9-year-old son. 🛏️👦

I don’t pull on the leash, but I'm not very confident yet, so I'll need someone patient to help me get comfortable with walking. I love laying out on the deck in the sun, rolling in the grass, and my Zoomies are the cutest! Watching me run free in the yard is a joy, and it's clear I'm a different dog compared to how I was at the shelter. 🌞🌿

I flinch sometimes because I haven't always known love or a gentle hand, but I'm learning. I'm a beautiful dog inside and out, and I deserve a family that will give me the time, patience, and love I need to fully bloom. 💖

If you have another dog or a pack, that would be perfect for me! I hope my forever family is out there, ready to give me the loving home I’ve been waiting for. 🏡 For now, I live at the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia. Stop by and say hello - I can't wait to meet you!

🐾 Follow-up: Meet Fitness Mom, affectionately known as Mama! 🐾

Since our last post, Mama has been a shining star in her foster home, getting along wonderfully with all four of her foster family's dogs and her foster mom's mother's two dogs. She's also been great with her foster brothers and sisters who are between the ages of 9 and 16 and is completely crate and potty trained.🐶

Her foster family shares that Mama is working on commands like come, kennel, outside, and inside. She's not a puller on the leash, but she is very shy.🚶‍♀️🌟

July Pet of the Month

🐾 Meet Fitness Mom, affectionately known as Mama by her foster family! 🐾

This amazing girl came to us with 9 puppies, all of whom have found their forever homes. She even took in and nursed an orphaned Great Dane puppy, showcasing her incredible nurturing spirit. ❤️

Mama is potty trained, crate trained, and wonderful with kids and other dogs. Currently, she's living with 4 large dogs and thriving. While she was shy in the shelter, she’s now blossoming in her foster home. 🌸 At 4 years old and medium-sized, Mama would do wonderfully in a home with another confident dog to help her come out of her shell.
