Congratulations Edison and student Laura Griesser on their successes!
Edison competed this weekend with the North American Sport Dog Association.
This weekend Edison:
- got his Trialing and Locating Level 1 title
- got his Urban Locating Level 1 title
- got a High in Class in a Lost Item Level 1 run (Ie. Finding a thing that smelled like Laura)

This team practices hard, but they also know how to always have fun whenever Edison is searching. So very happy their hard work has paid off!

Yesterday, I had the wonderful opportunity of judging for the new Southeast Scent Work Alliance's inaugural Run and Done event. Thank you to Leigh Crews, Jeff Crews, and Lue Ann Lott for the privilege of allowing me to set hides and watch so many great and up-and-coming teams work incredibly well and rise to the challenges set before them. I am so impressed with the organization and ex*****on of such a well-planned event. All of the Southeast Scent Work Alliance's hard work and effort paid off! I hope everyone else enjoyed the event as much as I did!

I have mentioned this already on my personal page, but I am very proud of Team Grace's accomplishments so far, and I wanted to share it with my clients, too.
According to National Association of Canine Scent Work, there are over 19527 dogs registered with the organization as of November, 2018. Currently, Grace is the first and only Weimaraner in the country to receive her Elite 3 title. We are continuing to trial and looking forward to more Nose Work adventures in the near future! While she may be the first, she will not be the last, as I am aware of some very talented Weimaraner teams coming up through the ranks!
Grace and I began this as a hobby with no intentions of trialing. The true gift is watching her approach each start line with a new-found confidence that "she's got this!"
