So after talking to Nami Kim who did some extensive background research on Hae Deul Lee, it’s become clear that she contributed to the dogs situation in a big way. So everyone who donated so far, we can decide to pause the fundraiser until she surrenders all the dogs to a rescue. Now the reality is that currrently no rescue wants them. And it seems that Hae is an animal hoarder. She has received help in the past and the shelter built for her and the dogs wasn’t maintained and the dogs were not properly cared for despite attempts from others to help her. I would like to keep the existing funds in the fundraiser but if you like your donation returned I happily will obey and refund it. It breaks my heart but after consulting with Nami I agree, Hae isn’t interested in helping the dogs that are in her care. If we help her, the dogs suffer it they also suffer if we don’t. Please if you have contacts in S. Korea spread the world. The only way these dogs can be saved is with rescue interest. I will pause the fundraiser for now... whatever remains in the fundraiser will go to the rescue taking them. I however understand if you prefer your donation to be refunded. My heart is broken but this woman refuses to give these dogs up and she apparently has burned a lot bridges with people trying to help.

One lone animal lover donated 20 bags of dog food to the shelter. Please help us keep these dogs fed and looked at by a local vet. Diseases like Parvo and distemper spread like wild fire in Korea. We currently can not afford even basic vetting. Please donate to the gofundme page so we can give these dogs a second chance of a better life.

30 bags of dog food for Hae Deul Lee’s shelter on it’s way to Hwasung City, Gyeonggi-do...

Mrs Hae Deul Lee feeding the dogs. Tonight this pups will go to sleep with a full belly. Thank you Nami Kim a d Save Korean Dogs for sharing donated food with Mrs Hae Deul and her meat dog survivors. According to Nami Kim, a prominent rescuer in Gimpo, this shelter is one of the poorest shelters in the area and in need of all the essentials; food, vetting, medications and dog beds. Most importantly the healthy dogs need to be separated and taken over by a larger rescue organization that has access to the necessary resources...

This volunteer run page supports Hae Deul Lee's shelter located in Hwasung City in South Korea. The shelter operator Mrs. Hae Deul recently rescued 98 dogs from a meat dog farm that was shut down. Hae Deul herself lives on a fixed income that does not allow her to properly care for the dogs whose lives she saved. She currently feeds her dogs a mixture of grains every other day. Most of the time these dogs these dogs stay hungry. Needless to say, she does not have the funds for vetting and neutering. Upon hearing of this lady's plight, a group of volunteers sprung into action and supplied a weeks amount of dog food. To assist this shelter in operating properly we want to invite you to like and share this page and consider donating to Hae Deul's shelter via the GoFundMe page. Updates as well as receipts will be posted on this site.
I like to add a little bit of information on myself, the page administer. My name is Manon Huetter and I and my foster dogs live in sunny California. I first heard about the meat dog trade in Asia through a prominent rescuer by the name Marc Ching. What I learned and researched on my own lead to my first meat dog survivor adoption. Kenji, a dog saved from a meat dog farm, was adopted by me in 2016. Shortly after I decided to bring several rescued dog from South KOrea to the United States. I currently have one trauma dog still in my care. The other two foster dogs were adopted out to families in Atlanta, Georgia. I keep friendly relations with another prominent rescuer by the name Nami Kim. Her Save Korean Dog foundation alerted me to the plight of this make shift shelter in Hwasung City. This community page is intended to offer financial resources to Mrs. Hae Deul Lee though the means of donations/GoFundMe page. All funds will be made available to the shelter. Receipts of transactions will be posted here. We are not linked to a non for profit organization!
