Hey Team! We picked like the worst time in 100 years to start any form of group or club didn't we! I wanted to issue a challenge to those of you who may be spending more of your time at home with your dogs. I WANT TO SEE YOUR MIDDLE POSITIONS! I will pay for GRC memberships for videos of the best middle entry video and best tactical heel video for anyone in this group. Jay Jack​ and Jas Whiting don't count... I can't wait to see what everyone's working on during the quarantine! May the odds be ever in your favor -

Hey fellow Peach State GRC team! Everything appears to be pretty serious with Covid. Locations are talking about or have already implemented curfews, martial law is being tossed around even if most are spelling it incorrectly, and it appears executive orders are being sent down restricting gatherings of 10 or more people. All of that being said I want to know what you as a group want. Luckily we have the ability in this day and age with technology to hold a gathering online. As I’m using the Facebook platform to discuss this with you I would be open to doing a Facebook live event Friday afternoon or evening so as to include everyone. Please let me know what you think.

Why feed your dog from a bowl when you could use the food to build engagement? Taking 20 minutes out of your day to feed your dog through training goes a long way in building a relationship over time. Keep it fun for you and the dog, and if you’d like more information feel free to reach out to us or come on out to our first meeting this Friday at 7 pm (1741 McCoba Dr SE Suite A, Smyrna, GA 30080)!

Miranda and Jake got to spend 2 days with Jay Jack! Watching some pretty cool legit dogs be worked at Dogs Playing For Life. We can’t wait to bring back some of the knowledge bombs that were dropped during these two days and share them with all of you. We can’t wait to see you on Friday!

Our first meeting will be on March 20th at 7pm, on Facebook Live. This will be mostly an informational meeting, to discuss drive sports, SR, club requirements, practices, etc. If you have any interest in GRC or growing your relationship with your dog, you are encouraged to attend! Dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes are welcome to participate in GRC! Any questions, feel free to message me!

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to actually write this article. I’ve been on a personal campaign to raise awareness of Middle Position for years. I have traveled all over the world advocating for it. And I just thought… Oh… Let me just link to an article about why I use it so much....

Let's talk about the middle position. Who uses it and why? Can your dog "heel" in the middle position? I think it is a wonderful position where I can advocate for my dog before he can be approached by strangers or unknown dogs I can recall him into middle and handle any situation for him before he feels like he needs to advocate for me. Middle is a dynamic position for us, meaning I move, he moves with me. The only time the middle position isn't dynamic is if I put him in a down. I'd love to see your "middle" work. How are you training it? What are it's uses and functions in your dog's life?

Working on that sticky front with Han Solo today. Working successive approximation one half step forward or back to make his front a dynamic position like heel. This is a foundational position in GRC. How would your dog do?
