If I could only have one dog training tool for the rest of my life, it’s definitely the slip lead. The runner-up would be the e-collar, simply because it gives dogs the most freedom while still keeping them safe.

Popular breeds come and go, and usually the dogs are the ones that suffer the most. Right now I see a Cane Corso craze, and online you will see more of the well behaved ones over the dangerous, unhealthy ones..

I don't think you can go wrong with either a Doberman or German Shepherd. I just see that Shepherds, if you're patient with their maturity, can be very intelligent and adaptable. As long as you are okay with the shedding…..

What’s the #1 reason why people fail with their dogs? Lack of consistency

Especially after sending the dog away for training. If you want your dog to actually listen to you forever, then don’t ditch reinforcement so soon.

Keep the leash on. Keep the rewards coming. This way your dog learns that responding to you is worth it

Rescue dogs have a history, but it doesn't have to define them. People will tell you “give your dog an outlet" but what does that even mean? Simply find what your dog enjoys and do it together.
My dogs love to chase and catch toys, so that's what we make time for.

Having a big yard is not enough, watch what starts happening when you start playing TOGETHER
