ALLIE’S DAY OUT 💙

“This morning one of good friends picked me up from Our Pal’s Place. I though maybe we were just going for a walk on our OPP trails, but boy, was I wrong! I had the best day starting with a car ride (I was a little nervous at first, but I learned car rides are fun!). Our first stop was Tractor Supply for a bath, but I got to do some shopping first and meet some new people. I practiced my polite greeting and got lots of pets and belly rubs (I don’t understand why everyone didn’t pet me, but my friend explained that not everyone is a dog person (don’t worry, Allie - we don’t get it either 😂). After shopping and socializing, it was bathtime! My friend got me all cleaned up and it felt so nice. After my bath, it was time to dress up in my pink “Adopt Me” bandana and go for a hike. I loved smelling all the smells and using my great leash-walking skills. I had already had great day, but my friend had one more surprise in store: ice cream 🍦!!! It was a perfect end to a perfect day!”

We’d love for you to meet our sweet and beautiful girl, Allie. We rescued Allie from Cobb County Animal Services where she had been a long-timer who was quickly running out of time. Allie/Allie Cat/Allie-Oop is a much-loved resident at our pet adoption facility and her volunteer friends want to find her a wonderful forever home. Please come meet her or share her video 💙!

*****COURTESY POST****
Please help spread the word and see comments for adorable videos!

"Two months ago, Jasmine and Tidbit were found living outdoors with their feral mother and sister, facing an uncertain and difficult future. Their mother did her best to protect them, staying constantly alert and hiding them whenever she sensed danger. But that also meant the kittens didn’t always have steady access to food or the care they needed. Thankfully, we were able to safely trap the mother and all three kittens and have them spayed/neutered. One kitten has already been adopted, and now Tidbit and Jasmine are waiting for their forever homes.
At just four to five months old, they have so much love and affection to give. All they need now is a human (or family) to offer what they’ve never truly had before: a safe indoor home, warm beds, full meals, and someone to love them for the rest of their lives. In return, they’ll be loyal companions—your best friend, your favorite cuddle buddy, and the little face waiting at the door when you come home.

Tidbit is a spirited male kitten with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s fearless, playful, and always ready for an adventure. He enjoys meeting new friends—including dogs—and exploring everything around him. He purrs like a tiny motorboat the moment he sees a human and eagerly seeks attention.

Jasmine is a gentle female kitten with a sweet pink nose and a soft, loving nature. She adores curling up in a warm lap to get chin and neck scratches, chasing feather toys, and looking out a window. She gets along well with other cats and is cautiously curious about dogs. She just needs a little time to feel safe around new people and animals.

Both kittens love being held, petted, and playing with toys (and each other!). They have tested negative for FeLV and FIV and have received their Rabies and core vaccines. Their sponsor will arrange any remaining vaccinations.

Tidbit and Jasmine can be adopted individually or together. They adore each other and play beautifully as a pair, but each is confident and affectionate enough to thrive in a loving home on their own as well. Whether you’re looking for one perfect companion or hoping to welcome a bonded duo, they’re ready.

Every kitten deserves a chance at a good life. Jasmine and Tidbit are patiently waiting for theirs. If you—or someone you know—are thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, please consider these sweethearts. They don’t need a perfect home, just a loving one.

If you’re interested in meeting Tidbit or Jasmine or learning more about adoption, please call Ellen at 404-660-3079. And please share this post to help them find the family they deserve."

“Hi, I’m Shelby. Today, I got to go on a special adventure! This morning, one of my friends picked me up from Our Pal’s Place; I was ready to see what the day had in store. I hopped in the car like a pro and rode so nicely, watching the world go by while we headed out together.

Our first stop was Old Rope Mill Park, where we walked the quiet trails. I am very good on leash, so I stayed close and enjoyed every step. There were so many wonderful smells tucked along the path, and I made sure to sniff as many as I could. The only thing I was not so sure about was the water. I decided it looked much better from far away, so I did not get too close.

After the park, we went to the Outlet Shoppes nearby and walked around some more. I liked taking everything in—the people, the sounds, and especially the birds by the fountain. Those birds were so brave! I could not understand why they were not afraid of people at all, but I enjoyed watching them!

While we were there, I met some sweet young friends. They were very gentle and kind, and they gave me lots of love. My new friends made me feel so special.

By the end of my big day out, I was tired in the best way. I had walked so nicely on leash, ridden wonderfully in the car, explored quiet trails, visited the shops, made new friends, and sniffed so many interesting things. I was ready for a nap on my comfy bed, where I knew a peanut butter bone was waiting just for me. Phew, I am tired, but what a great day!”

We’d love to introduce you Shelby! Maybe she could be your new adventure partner and best friend 💙!

At Camp OPP this past week, camper Kelstyn befriended Star. As the camp week concluded yesterday, Kelstyn decided her friendship and desire to help Star find a home should extend beyond camp! With help from her mom, Amanda, Star has had a fun-filled outing with Kelstyn today!

Here’s what Amanda had to say:

“Star enjoyed her field trip today! She took a long walk through our neighborhood, where she got to spot some baby deer and roll around in the grass. Afterwards, she was a perfect house guest and lunch date. (She enjoys blueberries 😊) She was a great companion during story time too. We ended the day with a special treat from Dunkin!”

You may remember that about this time last year Our Pal’s Place rescued a beautiful (and pregnant, unbeknownst to us!) hound dog. Star gave birth to 8 adorable puppies. Today, there has been a birthday reunion of sorts at Our Pal’s Place Daycare, Boarding & Training: two of the litter, Pepper and Artemis (formerly known as Twila and Gemini) are sleeping over with us and got to enjoy some birthday playtime. These girls are beautiful like their mama! 💙🐶🎂💙
