“I’ll do it later.”

Microchipping takes minutes, but the protection lasts a lifetime.

No warning.
No perfect timing.
No second chances sometimes.

The safest pets are the ones protected BEFORE the emergency.

Nobody thinks their pet will run away…

Until the gate gets left open.
A loud noise scares them.
Or one small moment changes everything.

That’s why preparation matters BEFORE the emergency.

Microchips give your pet permanent identification that shelters and clinics can scan instantly, helping them get home faster and with less stress.

The best time to protect your pet is before you ever need to.

A collar is not a backup plan.

Tags fall off.
Collars break.
And when that happens, your pet loses the fastest way back home.

A microchip stays with your pet for life and gives shelters + clinics a direct way to contact YOU immediately.

We’ve seen pets reunited the very same day simply because they were chipped.
Don’t rely on luck when it comes to your pet’s safety. Protect them before the unexpected happens.

So if you’re thinking about becoming a veterinarian, there’s a few things I really wish somebody would’ve told me earlier.

First… you do not have to be perfect.

I think a lot of students believe if they don’t have straight A’s or the perfect resume, they should just give up. But honestly, vet schools are looking at more than just grades. They wanna see dedication, leadership, communication skills, experience, and resilience too.

Second… vet school is mentally hard, not just academically hard.

Of course the coursework is difficult. But what surprised me the most was the pressure, the stress, and constantly feeling like you have to prove yourself. Learning how to protect your mental health is just as important as learning medicine.

And third… experience matters just as much as grades.

Before committing to this career, you really need hands-on experience working with veterinarians and animals. Not just because it helps your application, but because you need to truly understand the reality of this field.

Veterinary medicine is rewarding, emotional, exhausting, beautiful, unpredictable… and definitely never boring 😂

But if this is truly your passion, don’t let fear convince you that you can’t do it.

Pretty flowers… but some of these bouquets can turn into an emergency vet visit REAL fast. 💐🚨

Every year around Mother’s Day, veterinarians see pets get sick from flowers people had no idea were toxic.

Here are 3 common ones to watch out for:

🌸 Lilies — extremely toxic to cats and can cause kidney failure, even from small exposures like pollen or vase water.

🌷 Tulips — can cause vomiting, drooling, diarrhea, and stomach irritation in dogs and cats.

🌼 Daffodils — toxic to pets and may cause vomiting, lethargy, abdominal pain, tremors, and more.

And y’all… don’t forget about the vase water either. Pets LOVE drinking it, and it can contain bacteria, fertilizer, and toxins from the flowers themselves. 🤢

So if you still have Mother’s Day bouquets sitting around the house today, make sure they’re placed somewhere your pets cannot reach them.

Because trust me… the emergency bill attached to that “sweet” bouquet is not cute. 😭

Tag a pet parent that still has flowers in the house.

Collars and tags only work… until they don’t.

We’ve seen tags disappear more times than we can count. And once they’re gone, your pet has no reliable connection back to you.

Microchips don’t break.
They don’t slip off.
And every scan leads directly to your contact information.

That’s real protection.

Book your stress-free in-home microchipping visit today.

This Month officially makes 12 YEARS since I became a veterinarian. 🥹

What made me want to become a vet in the first place was personal. I know what it feels like to love a pet like family. That passion turned into purpose… and now I want to help the next generation see that this dream IS possible for them too.

Because growing up, a lot of us never even saw Black veterinarians.
We didn’t know what the path looked like.
We just knew we loved animals.

So this summer, I’m opening the door and pouring back into students who are interested in veterinary medicine and the real behind-the-scenes of this career.

If becoming a veterinarian has ever crossed your mind…
If you love animals…
If you want mentorship, guidance, and real insight into the field…

April really showed out, y’all.

From stepping on stage at the Entrepreneur Summit and walking in purpose… to being back in Philly surrounded by love from My mom, sister, cousins, and my grandmothers (one of them 94 and still shining, okay!). Those moments are Priceless!

In between all that, I was still doing what I love. Serving my patients, treating pets like royalty, and building something bigger than me.

Then add in a little celebratory moments like the all-white affair at The Greatness Estates and the Pink Awards, yeah… April was full.

Growth. Gratitude. Alignment.

And I can feel it… May is about to take things even higher.
