This one is extra special to us. ❤️

A couple of months ago, Robin came to us with some reactivity that had made it difficult for his owners to go away. They were understandably worried that something might happen while they were gone.

Because of the way our facility is designed—with individual rooms and over 40-foot individual runs—we knew we could give Robin the space, structure, and time he needed to feel comfortable. Instead of rushing the process, we set up several short stays so Robin could slowly get used to seeing us, hearing us, and, most importantly, learning that we were “safe.”

After several successful visits, Robin stayed with us for two weeks, and that’s when we truly saw the power of patience. 🐾

First, Robin started whining for our attention. Then he’d whine if we walked by without stopping to say hello. And eventually, one evening, Robin rolled over on his back and whined for belly scratches. 🥹❤️

And that was it, we were officially his people!

From that moment on, we couldn’t walk by without a belly rub. It became all wiggle butts, happy greetings, and play sessions.

Combining our experience and a whole lot of patience, has helped Robin make incredible progress—and, just as importantly, has given his owners peace of mind when they need to sneak away.

We are SO proud of this guy and can’t wait to see Robin for his next stay! ❤️🐶

Sometimes, all they need is a little time, patience, and someone willing to meet them where they are.
