1 week old 🎉

Mr. Kipling & McVitie have been here for 5 days, and they have grown so much in that time! They’re still tiny little things, but if you compare to their intake photos, they’re filling my hand a lot more now 😅

They were maintaining weight the first couple of days before they started gaining, and they passed the 100g mark this morning! That’s 30g up from when they arrived, and they are now the average size of a newborn 😂

They’re sweet little babies, and both Kipling & McVitie have started purring after they eat which is always just the most adorable thing.

Kipling’s umbilical cord fell off yesterday, but McVitie’s is still holding on for now. Soon they’ll be opening their eyes, too. Who do we think is going to be the first to show us their peepers? 👀

Welcome, babies 🩵

Meet Mr. Kipling and McVitie 🍪 my two new sweet treats.

Currently estimated to be 4 days old, this little brother & sister duo arrived Thursday night, almost fresh out the womb.

They were taken into another shelter (who were unable to care for them), so we don’t know the back story, but more often than not, kittens are accidentally stolen by well-meaning people who see them alone.

When they arrived to mine, they were a bit cold, and seemingly hadn’t eaten for a while as they had very little energy. It’s important to never feed a cold kitten, so they spent some time warming up in the incubator before their first feeding.

They were 71g and 73g upon arrival, so are very very little, and extremely fragile & delicate.

Mr. Kipling, our little boy, was happy to eat a few mls by himself right away, but McVitie, our little girl, did not want to be fed.

McVitie seemed to have some trouble staying warm over the first night/the next morning, and wasn’t really moving around, so she was being tube fed. Thankfully, by Friday afternoon she had found her energy, and both she and Mr. Kipling were crawling around the incubator, nuzzling for food - and she began eating by herself, too!

Today (Saturday), they are both strong & energetic, eating well, and their weights are beginning to creep up.

They’re just some of the tiniest little beings you can imagine 😅

STILL AVAILABLE! Can you believe that Tele and Tethys are *still* searching for their forever home? 😢

These super sweet girls are having a great time in the new foster home, but they still haven’t received any adoption applications. Things have been extra slow this year, it seems.

They are fun, playful, and very loving little girls. They’ll spend all their free time snuggling on you - after they’ve finished wrestling, of course.

Born on the 4th of July, they’ve grown up together with their siblings, but then everyone else was adopted and these two ladies remained. It would be extra wonderful if they were adopted together 😻

Adopted 🎉

Atlas & Dione had a successful meet & greet while I was away, and they were picked up by their new mum yesterday!

They went directly from the foster sitter’s, and I am so happy that they get to spend their forever together 😻

Their new mum sounds lovely, and I have no doubt they have a wonderful life ahead of them.

If you missed my last post - Tele & Tethys are now hanging out with Melissa Coates to keep Lollipop company, but they’re still available for adoption!
I’m crossing my fingers that those sweet sisters find a home together as well 🤞🏻

If you’ve been following my stories, you’ll know that I was out of the country last week, so my little babies were staying with a foster sitter while I was gone, soaking up all the extra attention!

The plan was to collect them today, since I got home last night, but plans changed and they were needed elsewhere.

Two kittens have headed over to Melissa Coates to keep her kitten, Lollipop, company as she was all alone after her siblings were adopted.

The remaining two kittens have just had a meet & greet, so are expected to be heading to their forever home very soon 😄

I will post a follow-up to confirm once they’ve gone to their new home.

How on earth has no one adopted these little lovebugs yet?! 🙀

Dione & Tele, along with their sister Tethys, are still looking for their forever homes! They’d love to go home together, or to a home with a young, very playful age-appropriate cat. Dione in particular was always the bravest with my cats, whereas Tele & Tethys do tend to seek the comfort of their siblings when around the big cats, so would do best together.
