We want to take a minute to BRAG ON OUR PEOPLE. ❤️🐴
This year has been about so much more than ribbons, placings, and scores.
For almost all of our clients, 2026 has been their first year stepping into the arena at National Reined Cow Horse Association events—and many of them are doing it aboard young horses who are learning right alongside them.
Our youth riders, Marley Moore, Willow Allen, Alyssa Donoho, Maddie Hall have all made the jump into loping divisions and working cows, including Lily & Evan making their fence debuts!. They've challenged themselves on new horses, stepped outside their comfort zones, and learned that sometimes the biggest victories happen long before the results are posted.
And show by show, we’ve watched every single one of them get better.
They’re learning how to conquer the nerves that hit five minutes before walking into the pen. How to slow everything down and ride maneuver by maneuver. Pick up a bucket 🪣🤣 How to give themselves, and their young horses, a little grace when things don’t go perfectly. How to advocate for what they need. How to shake off a bad run, learn from it, and come back better the next time.
There have been tears. 😂
There have definitely been a few moments of absolute panic right before walking into the pen.
There has been SO much laughter.
So much camaraderie.
And…a surprising number of dance battles. 💃😂
We have collectively survived horse shows on Alani energy drinks, iced matcha, room-temperature water, Nerds Clusters, and whatever questionable snacks we can find buried in the tack room. 😂
But somewhere in between all of that, this group has become one heck of a little show family—and we couldn't be prouder of them.
And lately, all that hard work has been showing up in the results. 👏🔥
🏆 SRCHA PRE-FUTURITY
🥈 Hailee Collins & Twisted Cattack — 2nd in the L1 Non-Pro Boxing Derby!
⭐ Jess Thuma & Tagg This Chic — Top 10 in the Non-Pro Boxing Futurity!
👏 Kerry Simons Watson & Miss Metal Cat and Josh Speer & Yella Hammer both held their own in tough competition, finishing middle of the pack against some very good, very seasoned bridle horses. There is a LOT to be proud of when you're bringing young horses along and competing in that kind of company.
👏 Katie Galloway finished a respectable 6th on her filly Sannman Poppy Girl in the Non-Pro Hackamore in a tough class.
👏 Jeff Buckley was 5th in the L1 Open Hackamore on Spark of the Boon owned by Jeff & Kaycee Buckley
🔥 PRCHA RED DIRT RENDEZVOUS
🥉 Mae Wood & Clever Sonofa Mitch — 3rd in Horse Show 1 and 4th in Horse Show 2 in Youth Boxing!
Mae and her talented 4-year-old gelding went out there and battled against youth riders mounted on older, seasoned bridle horses. Watching this pair step up to the challenge has been pretty special.
⭐ Hailee Collins & Twisted Cattack — 7th and Top 10 both days in a very competitive Limited Non-Pro Boxing Spectacular!
👏 Jess Thuma & Tagg This Chic — Jess used the Never Won a Buckle class to school her young mare and STILL walked away 5th on a schooling run!
And the Buckley crew had pretty good showings too…
🥉 Scott Buckley & Midnight Rocks, owned by Errol Spence Jr. — 3rd, L1 Open Bridle
🥉 Scott Buckley & Twisted Cattack, owned by Hailee Collins — 3rd, L1 Open Derby
🥈 Scott Buckley & Shez Soo Fancy, owned by Susan Wingo — 2nd in the Open Two-Rein Herdwork. A tough cow down the fence ultimately put them 4th overall, but we're incredibly proud of this mare and how far she's come!
🥈 Raine Buckley & IM Catwoman — 2nd in the Non-Pro Hackamore!
But as proud as we are of those placings, the part we're proudest of can't be found on a results sheet.
It's watching riders who were terrified to lope into the pen a few months ago walk in with a plan.
It's watching them learn to trust their horses—and themselves.
It's watching young horses become show horses.
It's watching disappointment turn into determination.
And it's watching a group of people genuinely root for one another, celebrate each other's wins, laugh through the hard parts, and keep showing up.
That's what we're building.
Better horses. Better riders. Better horsemen.
And one heck of a show family. ❤️🐴
