I have seen many farmers recommend adding goldfish to an animal trough to combat algae, so I am giving it a whirl.

I woke up this morning to my daughter Serena ready with a fish net, excited about the goldfish that suddenly appeared in the goat water 😂 Here you can see, the chickens are also intrigued!

Part of owning livestock has been adjusting to unexpected illness and death. I have learned so much in my three years of owning goats.

My sweet 2 1/2 year old whether Knox (formerly “the fat one” according to Will), has been on the decline for the last few months. Losing weight, weak, more anemic than normal despite a low parasite load.

My friend drew a blood sample this week to send for additional testing to try to determine the cause. For now he’s enjoying being pampered with daily Vitamin B injections, probiotics, and extra TLC.

Hope you all had a wonderful, relaxing Thanksgiving!

Please be advised, that lately my schedule has been booked out about 2-3 months in advance for certain months. If you have any trips planned and would like me to care for your animals, it’s helpful for me to have advance notice whenever possible!

You can still always reach out to ask for last minute scenarios, I just may not always be able to accommodate.

Thank you for trusting me to care for your furry family members 😊 I feel so grateful to do what I do!

Visiting the Delaney’s farm this morning for my pet business before the orchard opens, and I happened to drop the hose just so that it landed on the handle and sprayed me continuously in the face. Good thing it’s a balmy 35 degrees!

Who wants to start following me with a camera?

The amazing creatures I get to care for make it worth it though 🥰 so lucky to do what I do!
