In the past week, I have encountered two clients presenting with rotator cuff pain due to initiating new workout programs. Upon examination, they exhibited muscle tightness. When starting a new workout program, the body may not be accustomed to utilizing certain muscles. Following the application of fascia release and cryotherapy techniques, they experienced a decrease in tightness and an increase in shoulder comfort.

Today, I had the opportunity to work with Kade Stokes. Our session focused on addressing specific areas of tension, particularly his hip flexors, groin, and calves, which are crucial for his sport. As a bull rider, Kade's body undergoes immense stress, and it's essential we alleviate his chronic hip and calf tightness to ensure optimal performance. Yesterday, I dedicated time to working with Shooter, who has been experiencing a persistent swollen sheath for several weeks, with the swelling extending down to his stomach. Despite engaging in regular exercise in an effort to alleviate the issue, the swelling has remained. Our focus during the session was on addressing the hind end and specifically targeting the swollen area. Through the application of Fascia release techniques and cryotherapy, we achieved remarkable results that clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of these treatments.

Implementing cryotherapy and fascia release techniques for you and your equine athletes is an approach to enhancing the muscle recovery process.

Cryotherapy, through the application of cold therapy, effectively reduces inflammation and alleviates pain, thus speeding up recovery after strenuous activity or injuries.

Myofascial release targets the connective tissues surrounding the muscles. This helps relieve tension, improve circulation, and increase flexibility. By addressing the fascia, we can ensure the muscles are not only recovering but also functioning optimally.
