We are back from vacation! We had a great time, we rented an RV and drove to Cheyenne, Wyoming for Frontier Days. We stayed at a bison ranch, it was so cool. I saw antelope, deer, bison, chickens, prairie dogs, a great horned owl, and so much more. We have a lotta eggs to move, the hens must have worked overtime🤩

We have an eggcellent special, 2 dozen for $7 and 3 dozen for $11. While supplies last 🙄

The more you know…

Advantages of buying farm-fresh eggs over store-bought:

1) Better nutrition. They’re lower in cholesterol and saturated fats, and they contain more omega 3’s. They have higher levels of vitamins A, D and E than most eggs in the store.

2) The chickens live much better lives than those kept in factory farm conditions. This matters both for your conscience, and for the nutritional reasons mentioned above. A hen who’s allowed to move around, explore her environment, and supplement her diet with veggies, grass, and bugs produces a higher quality egg.

3) They stay fresh longer. The eggs sitting on grocery store shelves have often been there for 3-4 weeks before you buy them. By the time you eat them, they could be two months old. Enzymes break down, and flavor is lost during that time, long before the eggs become noticeably “bad.”

4) Local chicken keepers genuinely appreciate your business. They’re far more likely than chain stores to throw in occasional ‘extra’s or to demonstrate support for your dreams and goals
