Tonight’s full moon has people checking their horoscopes, setting intentions, and embracing their inner wild side. For Angelina Ballerina, Fable, and Agatha, causing a little chaos and prioritizing self-care are everyday activities, so it’s really just business as usual.

These queens of cozy spend their days chasing sunbeams, perfecting the art of napping, and proving that absolutely any location can become a prime snoozing destination. Cat bed? Great. Windowsill? Excellent. Foster mom’s neck while she’s trying to read a book? Even better.

Don’t let their impressive napping resumes fool you, though. These young ladies still have plenty of kitten energy when the mood strikes. One minute they’re racing around the house, standing like a meerkat for Churu and keeping their foster family laughing with their antics. The next, they’re curled up nearby, providing moral support while dinner is cooked and serving as living reminders that maybe everyone should take a break.

What we can’t understand is how none of them have received adoption applications. They’re sweet, hilarious, affectionate, endlessly entertaining, and ridiculously cute. If you’re looking for the perfect balance of playful and relaxed, one of these wonderful girls might be exactly who you’ve been missing.

Apply to adopt Angelina Ballerina, Fable, or Agatha today. šŸ©¶šŸ¤šŸ¤Ž

What a difference 3 months can make. Back in February, Bee’s Knees came to us with her leg barely hanging on, in desperate need of critical care and an amputation. While she recovered bravely, our sweet Bee was still very shy and spent most of her time tucked away in her flower bed, patiently waiting for pets and chin skritches but too timid to come out and see the world. But that has started to change…

Bee’s Knees has been in the loving care of her foster mom, Sara, for 1.5 months, and she’s truly blossoming! With the help of Sara’s resident kitties, Wilford and Callie, Bee has built so much confidence, and every day has brought a new milestone. This once-skittish colony cat, who apparently kept to herself while living outdoors before her accident, now enjoys bath time with Wilford grooming her and follows Callie’s lead to find the best sunbeam in the afternoons. We love when our foster families have accepting kitty mentors to show a timid kitty like Bee the ropes!

Now that Bee has learned to trust that the world isn’t so scary after all, we’ll look to find the perfect forever family to keep nurturing her growth. Bee has been through so much, but her spirit has never wavered. Life on 3 legs, with a new zest for adventure, whether it’s climbing the entertainment center to reach the birds on TV or perfecting her crinkle paper zoomies, will fill Bee’s days instead of dodging the dangers of the outdoors.

Transformations like these are what this work is all about. We’re so proud of Bee and grateful for fosters like Mary and Sara, this supportive community, and the chance to do it again and again. Yay, Bee! šŸ–¤šŸ

We have a lot of unanswered questions in rescue, but one of the biggest mysteries in Tails High history might be how Vanessa, or ā€œVannyā€ to her friends, is still waiting for someone to choose her. Seriously. We don’t get it.

Vanny came to us from a neighborhood in DC back in November 2024 with kittens she had worked so hard to raise. She was an incredible mom, and one by one her babies found forever homes. Then it was finally Vanessa’s turn.

She was adopted and absolutely loved having a home of her own. The quiet routines, the one-on-one attention, and simply getting to be someone’s girl. Unfortunately, through no fault of her own, Vanessa was returned when her adopter developed allergies and could no longer keep her. It was heartbreaking for a cat who had truly made herself at home.

Since returning to us last spring, Vanny hasn’t received a single adoption application, which honestly feels impossible once you meet her.

Vanessa is the definition of an easy companion. She loves lounging nearby, watching the neighborhood from the window, faithfully using her scratching towers, and gently head booping your legs to request pets. At just 3 years old, she still has playful moments with her ball tower or a catnip toy, and she never says no to treats.

We think Vanny would thrive as the queen bee and only pet in a calm home where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. She’s not looking for chaos or adventure. She’s looking for companionship, someone to share slow mornings, evenings on the couch, and all the ordinary little moments that make a house feel like home.

Whoever adopts Vanessa is going to wonder how they ever lived without her. šŸ¤Ž

The Nightingales and their foster fur siblings at have declared this rainy Memorial Day the perfect excuse to cancel all productivity and spend the afternoon curled up cozy. šŸŒ§ļø

Between the sound of the rain, sleepy little faces, and paws twitching through dreamland, today feels like a good reminder to slow down and enjoy the quiet moments. We hope your day is filled with comfort, rest, good company, and maybe an extra nap or two.

The brighter days ahead we hoped for finally came. We are relieved and grateful that Tai’s emergency surgery went very well and she was able to go home last night, followed by Piggly Wiggly eating on her own and being discharged early this morning. Our girls are doing great!

We won’t lie, Friday was extremely scary. Sending Tai in for an emergency exploratory laparotomy while also seeing Piggly Wiggly feeling so awful was heartbreaking. Fortunately, they were in great hands and received the care they needed.

Tai has been newly dubbed ā€œMiss Hair Taiā€ because of the shockingly large clump of hair ties the veterinarian removed from her intestines. It’s truly a miracle that she and Dionne were returned to us by their previous adopters, allowing us to see her symptoms and get this life-saving surgery done in time. She’s back in her foster home recovering well, and we will be extremely cautious about her access to anything that could potentially cause a blockage again, as everyone should be with kitties!

Piggly Wiggly responded extremely well to IV fluids and antibiotics to resolve her urinary tract infection. Her kidney values returned to normal late last night and she was finally eating on her own, so we knew she was feeling much better. She’s back in her favorite cozy spot in her foster home, and we’re hopeful our special senior girly will continue to bounce back.

Times like these remind us of how strong this community is, and every comment of encouragement is truly appreciated. While we are still very far from the nearly $10,000 in ER bills we hoped to fundraise, simply letting us know you’re thinking of us and sharing our posts means the world. ā˜€ļø

They say ā€œwhen it rains, it poursā€ and unfortunately for us, the forecast is full of thunder showers this holiday weekend. We are terribly worried about two of our kitties as they’re hospitalized and in urgent need of support. Please help us get Piggly Wiggly and Tai the critical care they need.

Piggly Wiggly started showing her foster mom last week that she wasn’t feeling well. After a vet visit, we were hopeful she’d bounce back with antibiotics and supportive care, but she continued to worsen and stopped eating on her own. During today’s exam, we discovered worsening kidney values and an elevated white blood cell count, which could explain her decline. Since she hasn’t responded to at-home care, we made the difficult decision to hospitalize her for IV fluids and antibiotics to give her the best chance to recover. As a senior girl, this is especially concerning. Her low-end estimate is already over $3,229.

Tai gave her foster family a huge scare today when they found bloody vomit in her room. She suddenly stopped eating and was clearly unwell, so they rushed her to the ER. X-rays revealed a possible foreign body blockage, meaning Tai now needs emergency exploratory surgery to remove whatever is in her intestines. You may remember Tai and Dionne were surrendered back to us just weeks ago after a year in their adoptive home. It’s possible Tai ingested something before returning to rescue and is only now becoming symptomatic. The low-end estimate for Tai’s life-saving surgery is $7,674 due today.

We are grateful for any support you can show these precious girls as we weather this storm. Please keep them and their foster families in your thoughts and hope for brighter days ahead. ā˜€ļø

Somewhere between a country concert, a rowdy rodeo, and a cuddle puddle, the Country Kittens are out here living their best little lives.

This crew spends their days flying through the house in a blur of fluffy chaos, turning every toy into a main event and every hallway into a racetrack. They wrestle like siblings arguing over the last biscuit, dramatically stampede to wet food like they have never eaten before in their lives, and then promptly pass out together in one giant pile of purring exhaustion.

Despite being born outdoors during the winter, these babies wasted no time embracing the good life indoors. They are confident, affectionate, endlessly curious, and fully committed to being involved in absolutely everything you do. They love people, adore their foster dog brother, and somehow make even the loudest kitten nonsense feel ridiculously charming.

Morgan, Zach, Luke, Darrius, Sierra, and Ella are available for adoption and would ideally love to go home in pairs so they can keep the band together, but they could also join a home with another young playful cat ready to become their new partner in crime. Submit your application on our website to be considered. šŸ“šŸŽ¶šŸ¤Ž

Starting the week with the very best kind of motivation - happy tails from kitties who are deeply loved. These photos and updates mean more to us than we can put into words.

Lately, things have felt especially hard for our team, and adoptions have been much slower than usual. We are so hopeful things will turn around soon so we can continue helping more cats and kittens in need. In the meantime, the unexpected emails and texts with photos of former fosters thriving in their forever homes truly keep us going. These are the reminders we always need to see that every hard moment is worth it.

Never hesitate to send us an update. We promise there is no such thing as too many cat photos! 🧔
