Long and overdue post of the rabbits!

We made some hard culls tonight. But livestock is livestock. Our matriarch mini Rex, Hermione, went to serve another family as well as Percy and Lucius, the first home raised rabbit we saved back. It’s tough to make those decisions, but we have offspring from them to continue their legacy in this Rabbitry.

Fox has had a rough time adjusting to nodak. But we are doing all we can for this boy because we love him and he has made us some pretty show babies! This is just a humidity treatment with 3% sodium chloride to help keep him on the up and up. He seems to enjoy it!

Butcher babies. These boys are cute. But they’re not probably gonna make a show table. We shall see!

Air conditioner has come in clutch this past week with the scorching heat. It has truly saved my rabbits from certain doom. Last year I made a false door and put the AC in that way. This year, I had one small enough to put right into the window.

Hermione’s litter are monsters. This and Luna’s litter are the last of the offspring from our Buck Neville. Neville went on to serve another purpose as his breeding days came to an end. But we have plenty of offspring from him to maybe retain his replacement!
