It’s starting to get HOT out ☀️ which means… spa days for the horses 🐴💦

Bathing them isn’t just about keeping them clean — it actually helps cool their body temperature down and prevent overheating in this weather. Plus, a lot of horses genuinely love it. The water, the brushing, the attention… it’s like their version of a relaxing shower after a long day 🫶

Fun fact: cool water on a horse’s large muscle groups (like their neck and legs) helps regulate their temperature way faster than just standing in the shade!

Safe to say… bath time = happy, relaxed horses 💛

I just love grooming days 🐴🤎

There’s something about a quiet barn, a good brush, and a horse that melts into you while you’re working. It never feels like “just grooming” to me — it’s bonding time.

I started Mads Farmhand because caring for horses has always been where I feel most grounded. There’s something really special about the quiet moments — routine care, attention to detail, and making sure each horse feels comfortable and looked after.
