I had my ACVO Service Animal Volunteer Eye Screening today at the Animal Eye Doctor in Beaverton. This is a great program which is free for dogs doing service to make sure we can see well to do our jobs. The doctor said I have great eyes and gave me this new bandana. Mom said I was a good boy and got me a pup cup on the way home. 🐶🧡🦴

I have decided I would like a cat.
Specifically, this cat.

I have tried everything to make this friendship happen. I have been studying Mom very closely. She walks up to the cat, gently pets him, and he likes it. Revolutionary.
So naturally, I tried the same technique.
I carefully approached… lifted my paw… and gave him a nice, loving pat.
He did not like it.
In fact, he acted like I had committed some sort of offense?? Sir, I am PETTING you. This is how friendship works.
I even tried again and again, and he still gave me that look. You know the one. The “absolutely not” look.
At this point, I’m starting to think there are different rules for me.
I remain committed to this relationship, but the cat is making it very difficult to reach his level.
I don’t understand cats. 🐈‍⬛ 🐶

Took Mom on a walk to Grandma’s today 🐾
Grandma surprised me with a brand new toy, and I was so happy I carried it all the way home myself. I didn’t even want to put it down. I just love it so much.
Mom said I’m going to need to learn to pick up my toys or she’s going to tell Grandma I have enough… how dare she suggest such a thing.
Grandmas are the best… they always know exactly what we need 💛

Guess what? I had my final supervised therapy dog visit and passed! Mom almost screwed it up by tying a little kids shoes during the test. She was supposed to be 100% focused on me, but I was the best boy and waited patiently. As soon as mom sends in my paperwork, I’ll be officially certified! Can’t wait to start my professional cuddling career. 💛 - Gus

Gus likes to go for a jog when Lance bikes. I would break my neck trying that, but they have a system and Gus is actually pretty independent. 😂❤️
