before my birthday i happened upon a lovely human giving away a mostly intact kit on

she warned me that it was some number of years old and "made for kids," but i'll wasn't deterred. i asked to pick it up.

progress on the .

some time ago someone bought me a prickly material sweatshirt with a clever design. the irony is not lost on me. i couldn’t wear it because it was a sensory nightmare. so i finally fixed it.

i took an old cottony tanktop and lined the prickly shirt, cut a patch, and it as a window in the back of this hoodie.

you’ll notice some stitch holes from my machine attempt. here’s hoping they launder out.

attempting to crochet a from secondhand yarn. (it’s not like it was used before or anything.)

it’s going about as well as you’d expect.

i can’t for the life of me get my handle stitches to look like the body of the bag. one was flipped each row, the other was worked up in a spiral.

oh well. keep trying.
