we stopped and saw Alice at To Life! in Delmar, NY friday afternoon to look at new and pre-owned wigs. don’t you know, i found just the one to bring home! this is what community looks like. before the resources available to survivors today, To Life! was founded (1998). now the NFP serves as a hub of resources, coordination, and education for the greater NY capital region. what a gift to scoop up a beautiful NWT so similar to my normal color and style. for $0. without a prescription. new items are available for purchase, and insurance is accepted (just not medicaid, womp womp). donated items find new and more useful homes. hats, scarves, and gloves contributed by local gifters and makers. wigs, prosthetics, all cancer care needs. I highly recommend.

in a word? . this from (albany) knocked it out of the park. R & i enjoyed this treat via as i wrap up treatment week. fluffy brioche… egged and grilled to perfection, topped with fresh vanilla custard, strawberries, and real maple syrup. only one thing i’d change? there was just not enough brûlée for this girl. one tiny bit of crystallized sugar on the plate. i’d expect more/better dining in-person. for to-go? this was top notch. have you had before? how was yours?

yesterday we went up to Broadview Stage at S**C for the TENTH anniversary of Outlaw Music Festival.

among several incredible set lists, Willie Nelson gave us “on the road again,” “mammas dont let your babies grow up to be cowboys,” and “georgia on my mind” Bob Dylan played “all along the watchtower” Wilco covered Grateful Dead’s “US blues” (!!!) Lucinda Williams played The Beatles “while my guitar gently weeps” — it was really such a wonderful show.

shout out to out friends WMHT Public Media for hooking us up with the tickets. we love PBS! support public broadcasting!

we’re stoked to be meeting (maybe even exceeding) expectations!

our rates are fair for what we offer - each regular visit offers QT with your critter(s) plus our travel time. we cover a non-specific radius, but don’t want to drive too crazy far. unless you have a pool and/or hot tub… in that case, holler!
i’ve done the research and we’re in line with other pros. sure, some folks still question the rate… all i can say is “you get what you pay for.”

sometimes our visits take a little extra because, let’s face it, animals can be unpredictable. in this case, that one scheduled daily 30min visit ended up needing us to leave and return an hour later. super shy client-cat would *not* eat otherwise. like, she wouldn’t approach the bowl. even with Cat-Man-Doo Inc. aka kitty crack. (two cat household, separate feeding required.) we happily pivoted in kitty’s best interest… especially for a client that’s 4min drive from our homebase.

belly rubs, scritches and treats aside, our little team is all about providing top-notch service. we’re observant and think on our feet… and we genuinely care. your pets, home, plants, mail and more are all in great hands with us!
