My name is Ariel Carpenter and I am the breeder behind Pathfinder Pomskies. Pathfinder Pomskies is a small & humble breeding program that was born out of sheer passion of the breed. We have spent the past couple of years under a mentorship; and also researching, learning and preparing for our premiere into the Arctic Spitz community. We are excited to sustainably contribute to this wonderful, athl

etic up-and-coming companion breed as it progresses in both standards and AKC recognition. What's different about us? Sure, cosmetics and colors are undoubtedly important when choosing puppies- but we understand that structure and sound temperaments endlessly trump color genetics. Organizations such as the APKC have been paramount in setting the breed standards and we always strive to follow their guidelines during our journey of producing the happiest and healthiest pomsky puppies you've ever seen! We also go the extra mile with temperament evaluations on our pups to make sure our puppies aren't just going to the families that can pay for them- but the families that are the most ideal match for them. That way- everyone wins! Our program encompasses the following core values, without compromise: Health, Ethics, Communication, & Transparency. All of our dogs are raised in the home and go on adventures with us as family members! If we get enough interest, we will be lucky enough to watch this beautiful gal become an exceptional mother once again! The perfect spring pomsky portrait, featuring one of our locally grown pups: Pathfinder Drama! 🌷🌸🌼
We like to make sure our feed is a good balance of adult photos and puppy photos so that prospective families can see what some of our previous pups look like fully grown. Now known as Lola, she is a chocolate gal from a previous Pumpkin x Bear pairing! While our pups are scattered in different locations across the north american continent, we are always grateful when pups get to stay nearby!

We don’t know about you guys but we have been making the most out of this amazing spring weather! Walks and hikes galore! We LIVE for that crisp breeze, warm sunshine, the sound of the running river, and the rustling of brush as our little fluff examines every nook and cranny with her nose.

This year, we are making an effort to set aside more 1 on 1 time with each member of our pack. Everyone is always together, which is amazing, but there’s always room for that more intimate bonding experiences with your dogs. This quiet, playful girl thrives out in hikes that leave lots of room for exploration…so naturally that’s what we did!

We have a planned litter of miniatures with miss Athena coming up this Fall, so if you are interested, please reach out ASAP, as most of the time our litters are spoken for prior to conception 😌🌲🌷

Both of these two handsome boys were produced right here at Pathfinder Pomskies! 😌 They embody both first and second generation pathfinder qualities and are excellent examples of what we strive to achieve. I can recall rather vividly when we first met this beautiful girl in person. At just 5 weeks old, we knew she was something special but incidentally weren’t looking for an addition to our program quite yet.
She was the only female in her litter, sired by our stud at the time (Pathfinder Bear) through a local stud service we planned with our friends over at 🌸 I remember holding her up in the air and saying “Oh, if only we were looking right now, I would pick you in a heartbeat.” She made a lasting impression on us, but again, we weren’t looking at the time. Fast forward a couple weeks and by sheer luck, somehow she hadn’t been picked yet. With a few discussions, a twist of fate, and a tug on our hearts we couldn’t quite ignore… Pathfinder Athena joined our pack and we wouldn’t change a thing!

Her second litter (but first miniature litter) is slated for the fall/winter so if you are thinking about adding a Pathfinder pup to your crew; let’s talk and see if it’s a good matchup! We got several early bird slots open for reservations.

Husband safely home from deployment? Check. Graduated from nursing school? Check. Happy & healthy doggos? Check. More sunshine and slightly warmer weather? Check. Lots of RnR? CHECK! 🌸
Now all we need is a healthy litter of puppies from our planned litter in the fall! High hopes and high hearts for the year ahead! Don’t count us out just yet!

Happy Birthday to our Pathfinder Athena, the pup we knew at just 5 weeks old that she belonged with us. We kept her as a daughter of our now retired Pathfinder Bear and it’s been one of our favorite decisions. She has brought endless joy and play into our pack and has even blessed us with beautiful, healthy puppies. Watching her grow up and become a mother has been chock-full of sweet moments, but her joy certaintly isn’t limited to motherhood. To many many more healthy, vibrant years baby girl. Never change 🌸

We’re back from the drawing board and are pleased to announce that we have partnered with our friends over at to tentatively finish off 2026 with a litter of MINI Pathfinders! That’s right! For awhile we’ve only offered standard sizes but this pairing will shake that up a bit and (fingers crossed) be a beautiful way forward for our program. 🤞🏻 You should know by now that we don’t quit that easily- especially when we love what we do and have a clear, long-term vision on how we eventually want to contribute to the breed! As we usually do here: we have opened up early bird deposits because we have a track record of having homes lined up for pups before they are even conceived and we fully intend to keep that tradition alive. Effortless, elegant beauty while serving face ~ she certainly lives up to her litter callsign well 🎀 She is a dark chocolate standard produced by a previous Pumpkin x Bear pairing.
