Meet Luna! š
I know itās easy to scroll past these older dogs and forget they exist, but I ask you to spare just a moment for Lunaās story.
Imagine you spend the majority of your life with one family. They love you and care for you and you naturally grow accustomed to your environment, never expecting one day your world would flip upside down and youād find yourself in the rescue system at 9 years old.
You see, Lunaās owners did the best they could, especially by handing her into my care, and the reasoning for her surrender is largely due to behavior issues Luna had her whole life.
She didnāt like strangers coming into her space, and made it known. With their living situation changing, they had to find a new placemnt for her, and she came into KJ's K9's
Through careful evaluation and months of specialized training, Luna has turned a new leaf. Turns out, you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. She meets people all the time with manners, lives with other dogs, and is fully on/off leash obedience trained.
Her ideal home would be a quiet house with no children, another dog or two to bond with, and an owner committed to her long term success and happiness. Maybe take her for a walk around the block when the weathers nice š
Hereās some basic info for seriously interested parties:
