Just wanted to let everyone know that we saw a small black dog wearing a blue collar and no tags running down whiskey Road near sonic and Walmart. He/she was not interested in being caught.

📣 BIG NEWS: Mutts&Manners is moving!

As many of you know, we’ve been navigating some unexpected changes with our current property over the last few weeks. We’re very excited (and very relieved) to finally share that, beginning October 1st, Mutts&Manners will be making the very short move to The Vista!
And when we say short, we mean it- we’re moving approximately 1,000 feet down the road. 😂

For our training clients, this move will cause virtually no disruption to training whatsoever. Board & trains, private lessons, consultations, behavior modification programs, and everything else you know us for will continue as usual. We’ll just have a new driveway to pull into and a beautiful new place to call home.

There is one potential change we want everyone to know about ahead of time- because of the setup at our new location, we may need to discontinue our daycare program after the move. We’re still working through the logistics and will keep everyone updated as we get closer!

In the meantime, daycare will continue Tuesday through Friday through September 30th. If your dog has trained with us and you’ve been meaning to take advantage of daycare, now is the time! Send us a message and we’ll get you on the schedule!

We’re incredibly grateful to The Vista Schooling Center for giving Mutts&Manners a place to land and allowing us to keep doing what we love without skipping a beat. 🖤🤍

Hey guys, we’re asking for a little help for one of our extended Mutts & Manners family members. 💜

This beautiful girl is Melody, Fizz’s niece. Her owner, Shinae, is also Fizz’s breeder and someone very near and dear to our family. They have had an absolutely brutal week.

What started as unexplained bleeding turned into the unfortunate discovery that Melody had zero platelets. Despite initially acting completely normal, she became severely anemic from the blood loss and began collapsing. Over the last several days she has required extensive testing, veterinary care, and multiple blood transfusions to keep her stable while they work to determine exactly what is happening.

The good news is that her platelets have started climbing and the bleeding has mostly stopped. She is fighting, But she is very much not out of the woods yet and continues to need transfusion support and care.

Shinae is one of those people who is constantly doing for dogs and other people. Beyond being the person responsible for bringing our Fizz into the world, she regularly takes in and supports rescue dogs and helps dogs throughout her community.
we’d love to return a little of that kindness.

Their veterinary expenses have already climbed into the thousands, so if anyone in our Mutts & Manners village has a few pennies to spare toward Melody’s care, every bit genuinely helps. If donating isn’t in the cards, sharing her story is just as appreciated.

Come on, little lady. Uncle Fizz expects you to keep fighting. 💜
