Looking to get outside this weekend? Check out Acton's first ever Great Road Stroll from 10 AM to 2 PM on Sunday, October 18. Businesses up and down Rt 2A will open their doors and parking lots with events and activities for all ages.

Stop by the Acton Community Dog Park tent to visit with our mascot, Parker; learn about Acton's new dog park; and take a chance on winning a larger-than-life teddy bear. We will also be collecting pet food donations for the Acton Food Pantry. Please bring along some dog or cat food or treats to help feed our Town's four-footed friends.

We hope to see you there!

Heartfelt thanks from the Acton Dog Park Committee and the Friends of Acton Community Dog Park to Senator Jamie Eldridge and State Reps Dan Sena and Simon Cataldo for their generous $50,000 earmark. This takes us over half way to our goal of adding a pavilion to the dog park to protect users from the elements. It is this kind of support and enthusiasm that got us through the last 9 years to the dog park's opening. Again, many thanks!

Our dog park is almost ready!

If you've driven by the site lately, you will notice:
- benches and water fountains have been installed
- landscaping is done
- the parking lot has been prepped
- waste bag dispensers are in place

We have just a few more loose ends to take care of: parking lot striping, signage, trash barrels, a shed and a message board.

Plans are being made for a ribbon cutting, and we anticipate being open in early June.

Good things come to those who wait!
