🏆 Recap of the Final Show for the FRRC Buckle Series. This time, instead of just posting my team's placings, I'll share a bit about each one.
🤠 Merada Our Bar "Slim" !! A pepto gelding I've been showing this year had to scratch this last show because he nicked his leg in the trailer. However, his talent and bravado still won him the Green Horse WTL All Around Champion Title because of all his high placings from the previous 2 shows! I enjoy riding this boy so much. Quick feet, quick learner. I think he has so much potential for great things and I'm excited to go with him there.
🤠 Yul!! A 3 year old stud c**t in his first show. He handled it pretty darn good. Walked around all the mares respectfully and showed well. For his first show and first ride recently (March 30th), I'd say he has a bright future! He placed 3rd in Rail, 2nd in Reining, and 3rd in Trail out of 7 older horses.
🤠 Lisa and her young horse make the long haul to me regularly for lessons. She attends every single one of my clinics and applies every piece of information I give her. She won the All Around Champion Title for Green Rider AND the Res.Champion Title for Green Horse. She's trained her horse since he was a weanling, so every single day is win regardless of buckles.
🤠 Tracy showed 3 horses (2 of which I started), helped other riders, and this season she jumped into Amateur. Even though she could've stayed in Walk/Trot, she is one that loves a challenge. Watching her excel on horses I started for her makes me feel like a proud Dad. She won All Around 4th in Amateur with Oliver and 5th All Around in Green Horse W/T/L with Watson.
🤠 Mannie also showed a horse I started for him. Instead of waiting for his very young horse to be finished, he continues to take lessons with me and learn how to keep training his own horse. Winning 3rd All Around in Green Rider tastes much sweater when you've done all work!
🤠 Patti, has only been taking lessons with me for a few months. She's usually our photographer but she decided to step into the show pen and show for the first time in this new sport. She won 3rd All Around in WT Plus. Big accomplishment for her!!
🤠 Stacey has been showing a horse I started for her 1.5 years ago. She attends every single clinic and show we put on. She enters her little horse, who is also young, in the most classes. She's the definition of a gritty horsewoman! She won WT Plus All Around Champion, 4th Green Horse WTL All Around, and 4th Green Horse WT All Around.
🤠 Jennifer gave up showing her gorgeous black gelding, Jet, to volunteer as a scribe. It takes a village! I appreciate her loyalty and help beyond words.
🤠 Natalia joined our Ranch Horse family from Mounted Shooting. She's quickly becoming addicted to this sport. They won 3rd All Around Green Horse WT.
