Horse training is directing horses to figure it out on there own!
What I mean by that is, there is a hard way to train one and an easy way, the easy way takes a lot of patience, but is more rewarding in the end. A lot of times with the great bloodlines we have now a days you can ask a c**t to do something and they willingly go with your guidance, but every once in a while we get a “throw back” to the horses of yesteryear’s and we have to take a step back and remind ourselves that the best way to go about it is to guide them in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable, be patient until they do the right thing, and reward them when they do.
This filly is a great minded filly and is coming along good but every once in awhile the stubborn streak comes out and it is best to be patient with her, sometimes it takes awhile but once she is rewarded we usually move on in the right direction. There was a time in my life a few hundred horses ago that I would have got just as mad as she is and MADE her do what I wanted, but the end result of a horse that is made to do what you want is never as good as one that is trained, usually you can’t trust one that was trained to ride around on fear. And personally I really enjoy riding a good horse that is trust worthy and broke!
My favorite color of horse is gentle
