ASAP - Abilene Stray Animal Program

10/16/2026

💵🐾 IT’S $5 FRIDAY! AND WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🐾💵

We are currently $900 short of our fundraising goal, and we’re hoping today we can close that gap a little more!

There are still some bills that haven’t been covered, including Handsome Jack’s neuter and the neuters for all 4 of our Chiweenie mixes. These procedures are important, but they still have to be paid for. ❤️

Here’s the thing: $5 might not seem like much, but when enough people pitch in, those $5 donations add up FAST!

🐾 $5 helps.
🐾 $10 helps.
🐾 $25 makes a difference.
🐾 And sharing this post costs absolutely nothing!

ASAP is the hands and feet doing the work, but we can’t do what we do without YOUR support. We rely on donations from our followers to keep helping animals who need us, and every single penny counts.

Can you spare $5 today to help us get closer to our goal? If you can’t donate, please share this post and help us reach someone who can!

Let’s see what we can accomplish together this $5 Friday! 🙏🐶❤️

We still need one more foster for part of the MASH 4077 crew, that we pulled from Brownwood. If you'd be interested in fostering BJ Hunnicutt, please fill out the application here: https://forms.gle/Svep7wvRbCtu4XZo9

Sadly, one of the kittens we brought in from the Brownwood Humane Society, just passed away. It wasn't doing well yesterday, so we got it to the vet this morning. It was way too dehydrated to even start an IV. Rest in peace Pocus, we will see you again on the other side...

Y'all remember the 4 chiweenie pups we got from Rotan? Well, today they go in for their neuter, microchip and vaccines. We need your help with this medical bill, it's going to be expensive!! Please consider helping!

Back in the early days of the Internet, there were chat rooms on the Internet Relay Chat (IRC), and it used to be a tradition to "raid" another room. Let's "raid" another local rescue... Go to the link below, give them a follow, like a few of their videos, and leave them a comment or two. Tell'em ASAP sent you :)

The Kitten Queen vs. The Tiny Shoe Assassins 🐾👑

The Kitten Queen made the fatal mistake of getting down on the floor to love on the new puppies. She thought it would be a sweet bonding moment. A little cuddling, a little puppy love, maybe a few kisses. You know, the usual royal duties.

Unfortunately, the puppies had other plans.

Apparently, they decided her shoes were delicious. And not just near her shoes. Oh no. They went straight for the shoes WHILE SHE WAS STILL WEARING THEM. Suddenly, the Kitten Queen found herself under attack by a pack of tiny, furry, ankle-level piranhas.

Royal dignity quickly went out the window as she scrambled onto the couch, abandoning her subjects to their evil plot.

And there she sat, perched safely above the chaos, looking down at the little monsters who had just attempted to eat her feet.

The moral of the story? Never trust a puppy. And if you're the Kitten Queen, always keep your escape route clear. 👑🐶😂
