The sun shone on a scorching summers day … smiles , suits (and the odd bead of sweat) were all there in abundance … and I even got the memo about the pastel colour scheme too!
It was one of the hottest days of the year so far , but one of my most enjoyable too .

D&W celebrated at the sumptuous Solar do Paço, with their day being picked by D due to her interest in numbers (4,5&6 featured in consecutive order) - I love numbers just as much and often write about them in ceremonies ; it’s amazing how so many people have a number that they ‘see’ frequently … for D it’s 11 11. In marriage 11 11 symbolises two people standing side by side ; being equal , united and stepping forward together … and if seen, must always involve a wish 💫

From a chance meeting on a ‘hop on ,hop off’ bus in New Zealand, to building a life together in Wimbledon, L&J’s story has always been one of choosing each other despite every mile between them. 8 years of adventure, resilience, friendship and unwavering trust celebrated in the glorious gardens of Monte das Oliveiras . Happy tears, lots of laughter and even a set of steps made an appearance for the first kiss (enabling the Bride to be eye to eye with her groom - just this once !)
True joy encapsulated in a perfect moment .

I’m so privileged to work with wonderful fellow wedding supplier colleagues, who’s dedication in bringing couple’s wedding dreams alive rests solely on their shoulders ; I wanted to give a huge shout out to the fabulous florist (& super soul) who’s been with me at every single wedding in the past week Vanessa from Flowershop Bonita . Vanessa & her team consistently & lovingly produce (& carefully transport ) the most fabulous florals and also manage to keep them all looking incredible in the heat too (whatever she uses for the flowers , I definitely need !!).

Weddings are among life‘s most joyful occasions, yet sometimes they are made bittersweet by the absence of someone deeply loved.
And so it was for Z&B .
Z’s Dad had known that Z would marry B even before the two of them started dating; in my words “he was a man of great perception , great foresight and obviously believed that affirmation at every opportunity would manifest the outcome he truly wanted for his son. How right the great man was …”
Thank you Z for permitting me to try and capture these wonderful memories .
Some people never leave us entirely. They continue in our courage , our kindness and our happiest moments…

The sun shone brightly & the blue sky was cloudless as B&Z celebrated with their treasured family and friends at Monte do Serrinho Country House. Their ceremony included anecdotes, giggles , happy tears , a broken bridal shoe buckle and a Love Letter/Wine box too (we used a unique Best Man table to complete this part!); completely magical and memorable in equal measure. Love always Mr&MrsK
