One of our favourite times of the year is almost here, when the heart of the Lusitano world comes alive with incredible horses, familiar faces, old friends and plenty of Portuguese equestrian spirit.

Every November, the little town of Golegã becomes the beating heart of the Lusitano world. Horses fill the streets, breeders open their doors, riders gather from all over Portugal, and everywhere you look there are incredible Lusitanos.

And this year, we would love for you to experience it with us. ❤️

Our Golegã retreat is all-inclusive and so much more than a day at the horse fair. It’s a full immersion into Lusitano horses, Portuguese culture and life in the countryside.

✨🐴 The biggest Lusitano Retreat Awaits You 🐴✨

As summer slowly comes to an end, we can’t help but look back at what a wonderful few months it has been. ☀️🐴

New guests, new rides, new friendships, and so many special moments shared around our horses. Daniel and I have genuinely loved every minute of welcoming people into our little corner of Portugal and sharing our love for the Lusitano, our horses and the traditions that surround them. ❤️🇵🇹

But as summer comes to an end, something very exciting is just around the corner…

Every November, the little town of Golegã comes alive for one of Portugal’s biggest equestrian celebrations and, for us, it is one of the best places to experience the true heart of Lusitano culture.

So this year, we're putting together a very special experience…

Monday morning, but make it adorable. 🥰🐴

There’s something so special about starting the week with a newborn foal in the field. Full of curiosity, discovering the world one wobbly step at a time, and reminding us to appreciate the simple things.

No emails, no deadlines, no rush - just sunshine, green grass, and a brand new life beginning. 🫶🏼

Happy Monday from our newest little team member. ❤️✨

Believe it or not, we do occasionally get out of our riding clothes! 😅

When we’re not at the stables, one of our favourite things to do is spend time exploring our beautiful city, enjoying good food, and taking a moment to slow down. Horses are a huge part of our lives, but these little moments away from the yard are important too. 🫶🏼

Life can be wonderfully busy, so we try to make the most of the quiet moments when they come.

And then, of course, it’s back to the horses the next morning! 🐴✨

I think people sometimes look at a finished movement and see the result.

What I see is all the days before it. The conversations, the mistakes, the patience, the small improvements, and the trust built between horse and rider over time.

That’s what I love about horses. They remind us that progress isn’t rushed. It happens one ride, one lesson, and one good day at a time.

And when the sunset hits just right, you get to appreciate how far you’ve come together. ❤️🐴
