FMBB 2026 in Romania - let’s sum up 🇷🇴

And finally… Protection 81 points.

Some things went exactly according to the plan and some… Abra clearly missed the meeting where the plan was explained. But hey, we also knew the judging style after Spain 😉

That’s dog sport. One moment you feel like a World Champion, the next second you ask yourself: „Why am I even doing this to myself?”

And now the most important thing -
me and Maria survived Romania without killing each other 👉🏻 HUGE SUCCESS 🏆

PART II

FMBB 2026 in Romania - let’s sum it up 🇷🇴

Honestly, for me the best part of events like this is being able to meet and spend some time with my friends from all around the world 🇷🇸🇬🇷🇵🇱🇩🇪🇭🇷🇧🇬🇺🇸 Chatting 24/7 about dogs, watching the competition, drinking beer, training together, going out for dinner together… and then again drinking, eating, and talking about dogs - that’s life 🍻

But OK, let’s get to the point and talk about our (me & Anbrunia’s) performance.

You need to know something before I start - Abra turns 7 yo at the end of May. I’ve been training with her since 2024, when she was already 4 years old.

Tracking - 78 points.

Maybe it doesn’t seem great, but I’m proud that she finished the track. Looking at our past performances, this is huge progress. She got lost on the third corner, but she managed to solve her problems alone and return to the track line.

BUT… surprise surprise - we lost 2 articles (the first and the last one). S**t happens… and somehow always during the trials…

Part I

FMBB 2026 in Romania - let’s sum it up 🇷🇴

I know… long time no see, and this page is almost dead 😵 But that’s going to change soon, I promise 🤞🏻

We’ve just come back from the FMBB World Championship in Romania. But let’s start from the beginning.

The weather was absolutely crazy - and dude, when I say crazy, I mean CRAZY. First day: storms and strong wind. Then suddenly hot as 💩 and so muggy that Maria sunburned her face and looked like 🐽 And on the last day? Storms again and a huge temperature drop.

Now imagine around 100 of the best Belgian Shepherds in the world competing for the IGP World Champion title in those conditions. INSANE.

The organization was honestly super - nothing to complain about. Hats off 👏🏻They had food trucks with pancakes, burgers, sandwiches, ice cream, and sweets, coffee…, I couldn’t ask for more 🙏🏻
