🐱 Case Success Story: Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC) Management 🩺
Today at our clinic, we successfully managed a challenging case of Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC) presenting with urinary obstruction.
The patient was experiencing difficulty urinating and discomfort. After a thorough assessment, we performed urinary catheterization, relieving the obstruction and restoring normal urine flow. The cat responded well to treatment and is now on the road to recovery.
Early recognition of signs such as: ✔ Straining to urinate
✔ Frequent litter box visits
✔ Blood in urine
✔ Vocalizing during urination
✔ Reduced urine output
can be life-saving, especially in male cats where urinary blockage is a medical emergency.
