Today during our sugarcane harvest, a trolley carrying about 500 maunds of sugarcane slipped and fell on the slope while we were taking it up to the road. So we had to unload everything and start loading again on another trolley.
Loading a sugarcane trolley is not an easy job. Every bundle is cut, cleaned, and then passed from one person to another before it reaches the trolley.
It takes a lot of time, strength, and teamwork to fill just one trolley.
This is the real effort behind every sugarcane harvest and the real life of farmers in Punjab. 🌾🚜💪

Today our sugarcane harvest has officially started.
You can see the fields behind me—let me show you how the process works.
First, we cut the sugarcane from the base using an axe.
After that, every stalk is cleaned and trimmed properly.
Then we separate the canes and start loading them onto the trolley.
Each worker passes bunches of sugarcane hand-to-hand until the trolley is full.
Once everything is loaded, we send it straight to the sugar mill.
This is how the harvest journey begins.

This season, we planted Camelina cooling oil seeds for the first time in South Punjab. It was a new experiment on one acre, and I wanted to show it only after it became successful. Camelina is sown in November and harvested in March. Once we extract the oil through the machine, I’ll share the full results with you

Today we carried out a professional herbicide spray on our wheat crop to control the unwanted weeds (jari booti) that compete for nutrients, water, and sunlight. Sharing full spray details for others who want proper guidance.
