Today was one of our busiest days at the clinic! 🐾

We successfully performed 4 major surgeries, while also attending to numerous vaccinations, follow-up check-ups, consultations, and other patients throughout the day.

One of our patients was also discharged after 4 days post-op following mammary tumor removal and an ovariohysterectomy. Seeing our patients recover and go home healthy is always one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. 🥹💕

Thank you so much to everyone who continues to refer patients to us and trust our team. We are truly grateful for your confidence, support, and continued trust in St. Blaise Veterinary Clinic. 💕

Please avoid giving bones to your pets, especially cooked bones. 🦴❌

Bones can cause choking, mouth injuries, intestinal blockage, or even perforation of the stomach or intestines. What may seem like a simple treat can sometimes turn into a serious emergency. 😔

There are many safer treats you can give instead. ❤️

Today, our SBVC team—Doc Lito, Doc Lors, and our trained anesthesiologist Jeremy—headed to the Municipality of Liloan, together with the Sugbo Animal Birth Control Veterinarians and the Liloan Agriculture Office, to provide free veterinary care and surgeries to the community. 🐶🐱🩺❤️

We also want to sincerely apologize and say thank you for your patience and understanding if some of you had to wait a little longer at the clinic this morning. We were a little understaffed because three of our team members were out in the field, extending our service beyond the clinic through this free community veterinary outreach. 🙏🏻

🐾 Another life saved. ❤️🩺

Just after a quick vacation, Doctors Alo were welcomed home with a challenging case. Together with our SWU VetMed OJTs, we immediately performed surgery on this beautiful 5-year-old Bullmastiff.

She came to our clinic due to inappetence, and after physical examination and CBC, she was diagnosed with open-type pyometra.

Her owner decided to proceed with surgery as soon as possible, giving her the best chance for recovery. Our team immediately performed an ovariohysterectomy (OHE).

At 49.5 kg, she is, by far, the heaviest patient we have ever performed an OHE on! 😮💪🏻

A challenging case, but another life given a second chance. 🙏🏻❤️

Grateful to our dedicated team and SWU VetMed OJTs for working together and giving their best to save another precious life. 🐶🩺

Pe**le Urethrostomy in a Cat

When urinary obstruction keeps coming back, sometimes surgery is the second chance they need. ❤️

This little warrior underwent pe**le urethrostomy (PU) to create a wider urinary opening and help reduce the risk of recurrent urethral obstruction.

Another challenging case, another life given a better chance. 🙏🏻
