Proper Canicross Lead Position
In canicross, the dog must always run directly in front of the runner, pulling forward with the line taut.

* Front-Lead Alignment: The dog stays out in front to maintain continuous tension on the bungee leash, allowing them to pull efficiently without interference.

* Runner Posture: The runner maintains an upright, forward-leaning stance with hands free, letting the waist belt absorb the pulling force generated by the dog.

* Side/Behind Positioning (Incorrect): Having the dog run alongside or behind the runner (as shown in standard walk/heel setups) bypasses the pulling harness setup and defeats the power-assist dynamic of true canicross.
