𝙔𝙁𝘼-𝙐𝙍𝙎𝙈 𝘼𝙉𝙉𝙐𝘼𝙇 𝘼𝘾𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙋𝙇𝙄𝙎𝙃𝙈𝙀𝙉𝙏 𝙍𝙀𝙋𝙊𝙍𝙏 2025-2026 🐾

One academic year filled with compassion, service, and action for animals and the community. 💚

Throughout the year, YFA-URSM continued to promote animal welfare and humane education through different projects, awareness campaigns, environmental activities, outreach programs, and student-led initiatives that created meaningful impact both inside and outside the university.

From shelter visits and humane education seminars to environmental campaigns and fundraising booths, every activity reflected our commitment to becoming a voice for animals and responsible action within the community. 🐶🐱🌱

This journey would not have been possible without the dedication of our officers, members, volunteers, partner organizations, and the whole URS Morong community who continuously supported our advocacy. Every contribution, participation, and shared effort helped make this year successful.

Beyond the accomplishments and statistics, the true success of YFA-URSM lies in the awareness raised, partnerships built, and lives touched through our advocacy. ✨

As we end this chapter for the academic year 2025-2026, we remain committed to continuing the fight for animal welfare and creating a more compassionate community for all.

🌱 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱, 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 🐾

As part of the 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱: 𝗚𝗼 𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻, YFA members gathered at Kasarinlan Eco Park for a simple potluck filled with different homemade plant-based meals 🥗🌿

Surrounded by nature and fresh air, the gathering naturally turned into sharing food, passing plates around, taking photos, and enjoying conversations together. Simple lang, but moments like these make shared meals feel more meaningful 💚

From comfort food favorites to creative plant-based dishes, everyone brought something to the table while supporting a more mindful and compassionate lifestyle 🌱

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗔𝗬

Today, we honor every worker who rises early, gives their best, and keeps this world moving — often without recognition, often without rest, but always with purpose.

Behind every small comfort we enjoy is someone's sacrifice. Behind every road we walk, every meal we eat, every space we occupy — there is labor. There is love. There is a person who chose to show up despite everything. And that deserves to be celebrated.

On this Labor Day, Youth for Animals URS Morong stands in solidarity with all workers. Because we believe that a truly compassionate society is one that sees every form of labor, honors every sacrifice, and fights for the dignity of every person. The same heart that moves us to care for animals is the same heart that calls us to uplift the people around us.

Sa bawat manggagawa na nagpupumilit araw-araw — alam naming hindi madali. Ngunit alam din naming hindi kayo nag-iisa. Patuloy kaming mananalig na darating ang araw na ang bawat pagsisikap ay magiging sapat — at ang bawat isa ay mabibigyan ng pagkakataong mabuhay nang may dignidad at pagmamahal.

𝗣𝗔𝗪𝗦 𝗞𝗔𝗣𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛 | 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮, 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗹

Some of us woke up early. Some of us held animals we'd just met for the first time. All of us went home with our hearts full. 🥹

In celebration of World Veterinary Day, Youth for Animals URS Morong had the privilege of volunteering at the Libreng Kapon Outreach organized by PAWS Philippines in partnership with the Local Government of Pililla, Rizal — where over 130 aspins and puspins were successfully spayed and neutered, giving them a safer, healthier, and longer life. 🐶🐱

Behind every successful surgery was a team of dedicated veterinarians working tirelessly from morning to afternoon — and we, as volunteers, got a front-row seat to what real compassion looks like in action. It was messy, it was exhausting, and it was absolutely one of the most meaningful things we've ever been part of.

Being an animal welfare org means more than talking about the cause — it means showing up for it. And today, we showed up.

But beyond today, this experience fuels a bigger dream: to one day bring this kind of outreach to our own community — to the University of Rizal System Morong, and to the people and animals of Morong, Rizal. Because every community deserves access to affordable, compassionate animal care. Pangarap namin, at gagawin naming katotohanan.

From the mountains of Sierra Madre to the shores of Laguna de Bay — our home is under threat, and silence is no longer an option.

Youth for Animals URS Morong attended Tuklas-Kalikasan: A Rizal-Wide Environmental Summit held last April 22, 2026 at Masungi Georeserve, Baras, Rizal — and what we heard that day reminded us why this fight matters more than ever.

Illegal logging. Quarrying. Militarization of indigenous communities. The Kaliwa-Kanan Dam threatening biodiversity and livelihoods. The Laguna Lakeshore Road Network endangering fisherfolk and ecosystems. A wind farm threatening Mount Sembrano. A landfill threatening the communities of Teresa. These aren't distant issues — this is happening in our own backyard, in Rizal, right now.

As an animal welfare organization, we know that you cannot separate the well-being of animals from the health of the environment they live in. When forests are destroyed, wildlife loses its home. When lakes are polluted, aquatic life disappears. The fight for the environment is our fight too.

We left that summit more informed, more fired up, and more committed than ever to stand alongside the communities, defenders, and advocates working to protect what remains of our natural world. 🌍

Not all who wander choose to be lost. Many are left behind, forced to survive on their own in a world that can be harsh and unforgiving.

This day is a reminder that stray animals are not invisible. They feel pain, hunger, fear—and they also feel trust, love, and hope. A simple act of kindness can change their life, whether it’s offering food, supporting rescue efforts, or choosing to care instead of ignore.

Let us be part of the change. Let us create a community where no animal is left behind, and every life is treated with compassion and respect.
