This mini pinscher was rushed to our clinic due to severe dystocia cause by transverse fetal presentation. The puppy's forelimb and shoulder lodge within the uterine, making natural delivery impossible.

Prior attempt to assist delivery at home unfortunately resulted in trauma to the puppy's forelimb causing severe inflammation that further contributed to the obstruction. The puppy did not survive

Our primary goal during this emergency procedure is to save the life of the mother and through immediate surgical intervention, she was successfully stabilized and cared for.

Cases like this highlights the importance of seeking veterinary assistance early during difficult labor that may endanger both mother and puppy.
