MYTH: “A puppy or kitten is born with rabies.”

FACT: No. Puppies and kittens are not born with rabies. Rabies is an infectious disease caused by the rabies virus and is acquired through exposure to the virus, most commonly through the bite or saliva of an infected animal.

🐶🐱 However: Young pets can become infected if they are exposed to a rabid animal, which is why proper vaccination and responsible pet care are important.

REMEMBER:
Rabies is acquired through exposure — it is not something dogs or cats are born with.

✅ FACT: Dogs can see colors!

Their color vision is different from ours. Dogs are generally better at seeing blue and yellow, while they have more difficulty distinguishing red and green.
