✨Mochi and Nuggets’ recovery✨

It all started last June 28 on the day we picked up Mochi from Laguna. When we got home, the instruction is just to ONLY give him water and the food should only follow after an hour of rest. So we did. But when he pooped that night, ‘twas very watery. At first we thought that maybe it’s just due to the stress of transportation, but after 3 days he’s still like that. On July 1, we went to the vet at Dasma Animal Clinic.

The doctor gave him as an to be taken for 7 days so his stool would solidify, and for the dextrose water that he should intake from time to time while under observation.

As Mochi was recovering, on the afternoon of July 4, I noticed that Nugget’s stool has a drop of blood. It’s solid unlike Mochi’s but it always had a drop of blood, up to that night. She didn’t eat anything bad, that’s for sure. We don’t know why it happened. So my furmom instinct immediately thought “what if it’s ??” We can’t risk it. The next day, we went again to the vet; it’s Mochi’s 3rd 5-in-1 vaccination at Pet Express at SM City Dasmariñas, and we also planned Nuggets to be dewormed.

You have to keep in mind that Nuggets is only 1.5 months at that time so the doctor recommended that she gets treated first before undergoing deworming.

She had to take as her antibacterial for 7 days (they love this 💗) and both of them has to take for their supplement. (They’re not a fan of this one because it’s too concentrated 😅). Then unlike Mochi who used a manually mixed dextrose powder on a distilled water, Nuggets used . They like it! 🐶🐶

After a few days only they already got so much better and their stools are now back to normal. We thank God for this. 🙏🏻 As of now they’re still using their vitamin supplements and up-to-date with their deworming and vaccines so they will be healthier and have stronger immune system. 💪🏻

We really believe that we should never ignore things like this. Whenever you think that your pets are experiencing something bad, or even just a little under the weather, don’t hesitate, don’t think twice, and 😉

PS. We added the photo of their stool on the last photo here so if you don't want to see it, you know you shouldn't reach the 8th one. It's a reference for those other furparents if their furbabies also suffer the same condition.

✨Nuggets’ ticks removal✨

Born on May 19, her previous owner can’t take care of her and her 3 brothers anymore so we adopted her last June 20. 🐶 She’s wonderful! When she arrived at the house, she explored and played around with her new [cat] family. We fed her with goat’s milk and the cats tried it too. 😹 She’s the first dog we’ve ever had so she’s something new for our cats too see. 😸

Little did we know, at a very young age, she’s already been infested by ticks. We didn’t notice it right away, not until she started scratching her scruff uncontrollably. 😔

It’s around 2 am already and she still can’t sleep. So we’ve decided to check her whole body, and there we saw the first tick, then the second one, and so on! It’s on her belly, back, scruff, paws, legs, and even eyelids! 💔 We lost count actually but we’re sure it’s more than 20! 😱 We stopped around 3 am, so she can rest too because it might be stressful for her, so as you can see in the picture she’s already sleeping comfortably. 😴

The next day I saw another tick on the floor and I thought they’re all gone, right? So I checked both her ears and there is some inside! 😳 of course, we removed it too. The following day we caught another one while we’re not on a road trip. And the search continues until we were able to bring her to a vet during our days off.

We can’t actually bring her to the vet so we just bought her some medications from Dasma Animal Clinic and we can say it’s all effective. After a week, she’s all cleared. 💖

After a week, we discovered another problem with Nuggets 😓 but that’s for another post...

For now, here are some pictures of how he is before and now. If you don’t want to see a tick, tread lightly. I may have included some here as proof. 😅
