REE THE SURVIVOR! ❤️🐾

Ree was diagnosed with severe pancytopenia, a life-threatening condition in which her red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets dropped to critically low levels. Her anemia became so severe that she was advised to undergo a blood transfusion. However, her owner chose to continue treatment at home with medications and close monitoring. Thankfully, Ree responded well to treatment and bravely overcame this critical condition.

🐛 Hookworms are intestinal parasites that feed on blood, often causing severe anemia, especially in puppies or heavily infected dogs.

🦠 Blood parasites can also cause anemia by destroying red blood cells. They may also lead to a dangerously low platelet count (thrombocytopenia), increasing the risk of bleeding. In severe cases, they can lower the white blood cell count, weakening the immune system and making the body more susceptible to infections.

Today, Ree has made an amazing recovery and is now hookworm- and blood parasite-free! 🎉 She is back for her regular deworming sessions to help keep her healthy and protected.

PYOMETRA CASE! 🩺🐾

Ivana, a 6-year-old American Bully, bravely conquered pyometra through timely surgery and proper medical care ❤️

Her condition was confirmed through ultrasound, and her white blood cell (WBC) count was markedly elevated, which strongly supported the diagnosis of pyometra.

Pyometra is a life-threatening uterine infection that affects unspayed female dogs and requires immediate veterinary treatment.

Spaying removes the uterus and ovaries, completely preventing pyometra while also reducing the risk of mammary tumors and eliminating ovarian and uterine diseases. It is one of the best ways to protect your dog's long-term health and can be lifesaving.
