These two are absolutely uniquely stunning — and that split-face look isn’t just beautiful, it’s rare. It’s called a chimera: two embryos fuse early in development, so each side of the face is genetically a different cat. The mismatched eyes are the giveaway. Not my cats, but I couldn’t scroll past them. 🖤🤍 Which one do you guys like the most?

Happy Native American Day! I’ve always had a deep respect for how they lived so close to the earth, not as owners of it but apart of it.
But did they have cats ? Not domestic ones like we have today….
What Native Americans did have were wild cats — jaguars, pumas, bobcats, lynx — and some cultures kept them as pets or symbols of power. The Maya raised jaguar cubs, and the Aztecs had a word for the mountain lion, miztli. But the house cat itself is an Old World animal, domesticated in the Middle East thousands of years earlier, and it only crossed the Atlantic on European ships.
But boy, the Maine C**n sure does look like the wild cats they lived alongside, right?

Went to visit one of my recent kittens in his new home today….
He is 10 months old, 15 pounds and still growing….

Mainecoon are one of the smartest cat breeds and sometimes they need a bit of entertainment, especially when you go away..
