ESTÉE HAS BEEN FOUND!
After 36 long weeks, I’m overjoyed (and honestly still in shock) to share that Estée is home! I picked her up this morning, and she’s safe.
Incredibly, she had travelled over 7km from Karori to Wadestown, where a lovely couple spotted her in their backyard a few nights ago.
Despite my fears, she’s not underweight at all — in fact, I suspect she’s been helping herself to quite a few other cats’ dinners along the way… She’s come back a bit chonky and clearly didn’t miss many meals on her grand adventure.
She’s understandably overwhelmed and a little disoriented, but we’re taking it slow and gently getting her settled back in at home.
To everyone who shared her post, kept an eye out, offered advice, or just sent kind words over the past nine months — thank you from the bottom of my heart. I truly can’t express how much your support has meant to me. 💛
