AJS Horsemanship Training for horse and rider for a confident safe partnership. Horsemanship, Flt/Trck ldn, Riding. I look forward to working with you and your horse.

I've spent the last 15 years working with horses in a range of settings around NZ and some time in Canada. I've been working with horses in the Film industry for the majority of my time, but between films my work has consisted of starting, training and retraining horses, float and truck loading, handling young stock, running horse camps and teaching lessons. I feel this time has set me up well to have a good understanding of horses and humans. I'm passionate about helping the 2 come together, gaining confidence and trust in each other, clear leadership and most of all keeping things safe. Cheers

Thanks to Massey Pony Club for inviting me along to run an awareness & groundwork fundamental seminar on the weekend. Great to meet you all and work with some of your horses.

Great opportunity to unpack what our relationship on the ground with horses can look like and how we might achieve that with safety being at the forefront.

Chubb came along with me for a bit of a demonstration. Thanks to Kellie Sandstone Estate Equestrian Centre for giving him a good scrub up!

Sad to hear this news of one the film Horses I’ve worked with a lot in recent times.

Fernando, you had a sweet nature and a great presence and charisma! You always looked amazing on screen! You will be missed my friend!

Thoughts go out to Wayne and Chelsea of Equine Films for the loss of this beautiful horse. Heartbreaking

Had a great BUDDY RIDE with Emma from Embley Park Hanoverians getting her kind, good minded stud Bodhi out to the beach for the first time for some more mileage and exposure. Great job both of you, what a cracking day for it!

** Buddy Ride **

What is the Buddy Ride? it’s an opportunity for you or your horse to get out on the trail and gain confidence.

Myself and one of my horses will be your buddy, the focus being on safety, going at your pace, we can lead or follow, we’re prepared to stop and wait if need be. I can offer up how i would deal with different obstacles and exercises to engage your horse along the way.

End of the day it’s a ride about you! So take the stress out finding the right person and horse to take you..

PM or give me a bell to book in or find out more.

Cheers, Adrian

Today I went to a clients place that I haven’t been for around 10months and worked on this seasons foals.

Last year was their first crop of foals and I helped with a chunk of the handling and getting them quiet, ready for the farrier, floating etc.

This year I haven’t been able to make it there yet with my filming commitments and was so impressed when I showed up today to see the great job that’s been done! (Caroline) keep up the good work!
