Breeding happy, healthy sausage dogs in a loving, family-filled home by the sea. Hi, I’m Penny , and I’m lucky enough to call beautiful Waihi Beach home.

Surrounded by surf, sand, and wagging tails, I breed both short and long-haired miniature dachshunds (affectionately known as sausage dogs) with a passion for their playful personalities and loving nature. Our puppies are raised right here in our home, where life is full of family, laughter, and cuddles. With grandkids running around daily, a few French Bulldogs keeping things lively, and even a l

aid-back cat ruling the roost, our pups are well-socialized and used to the sounds and joys of everyday family life. Whether they’re curled up on the couch or chasing sunshine in the backyard, our sausage dogs are cherished from day one. I truly believe you’re never lonely with a sausage dog – and once you meet one of ours, you’ll understand exactly why.

We’ve grown! 🥹❤️ Our little Lexi has officially been renamed RIVER and she’s getting ready for her big adventure to Queenstown! 🗻

She’s still got a couple of weeks with us before she heads off, so for now she’s busy doing what she does best… having a full-blown crazy sausage moment! 🤪🌭

Same sausage. New name. Big adventure coming!

🦖🤎 MEET ZARA — OUR LITTLE DINO GIRL! 🤎🦖

Well… this little girl has been the boss since the day she was born!

Meet Zara, our gorgeous little dino who is the only one still looking for her forever family. She is an adventurous little soul who LOVES getting outside and exploring. Nothing really scares this girl — she’s confident, curious and always ready to see what’s going on!

But don’t let that big personality fool you… Zara is also a total cuddle bug. 🥰 She loves nothing more than curling up for a sleep, especially when she can lie on her back, completely carefree, looking like she owns the place!

Her sister is heading all the way to Queenstown, so if Zara’s forever family happens to be down that way, she can even hitch a ride over the Strait with her sister! ✈️

Can you believe we’re 5 weeks old already?! 🥹🐶

We’re getting bigger, cheekier and more playful every day… but one thing hasn’t changed — we LOVE our daddy! 🥰

There’s nothing better than a big cuddle with him. He’s the best daddy and we just love snuggling up with him! 🐾❤️

Lots of puppy cuddles, sleepy faces and tiny little adventures happening over here! 🥹🐶💕

5 weeks old & already very spoilt!

The little Dino crew are getting braver by the day and slowly showing us more and more of their little personalities!

Today they had some very important playtime with Daddy Ollie, who was loving every minute of it.

And of course, Uncle Dashy couldn’t possibly miss out on the action…

Frankie has been spending some time with her brother at Aunty’s house while Flo’s babies are growing.

Safe to say, Frankie hasn’t been overly impressed with the whole puppy situation 😂 They’re not her babies, so she’s much happier having a little break from them!

And I think her brother is absolutely LOVING having his sister back around. ❤️🐾

Happy Friday from the bunch of little Dino’s! 🦖🦕

The crew have officially graduated to downstairs during the day, which means more room to explore, more adventures, and a whole lot more mischief! 😂

They’re growing so fast and keeping us very entertained. Our little Jurassic Park gang are definitely starting to find their personalities! 🦖

🐾 A BIG DAY FOR OUR FRANKIE 🐾

Today is a very emotional day for us here at Weiners by the Waves. ❤️

Our beautiful Frankie is officially retiring and is heading off for surgery this morning. It’s a big milestone for our girl, and definitely a day filled with all the emotions.

Frankie is the one who started it all. She was the beginning of our journey, our first beautiful Mumma, and she has given us the most precious little babies over the years. She has been the absolute best Mumma and we couldn’t be more proud of her. 🥹

Now it’s time for Frankie to put her feet up, enjoy her retirement and, most importantly… become an AUNTY! 🐾

We are so incredibly proud of you, Franks. You have given us so much love, so many memories and started something that has become such a huge part of our lives.

Now it’s your turn to be spoiled.

Good luck this morning our beautiful girl. We love you more than you’ll ever know. 🐾

Look who has opened her eyes! 💗

Miss Zara is officially 2 weeks new today and she’s starting to take in the world around her. She is growing like a w**d and getting cuter by the day! 🥹

Those tiny eyes opening for the first time… 😍 We’re pretty sure she’s going to be keeping a very close eye on everything from now on!

Meet Miss Zara 🦖

Next up in our Jurassic crew is Miss Zara… and trust us, you’ll always know when she’s around! 😂

The biggest of the bunch and definitely the loudest, this little dinosaur has no problem making herself heard. Her tiny squeaks are absolutely adorable… just maybe not so much at 2am! 💕

Zara is a stunning Isabella with tan points, and she’s growing fast every single day. She’s thriving, putting on weight beautifully, and already has a big personality to match her big appetite.

Watch out world… this Jurassic girl is coming in loud!
