URGENT: Save Future Post. Save NZ Recycling.

Help Future Post recover from a devastating arson attack so we can continue turning NZ plastic waste into sustainable product not landfill.

Future Post, New Zealand's world-first manufacturer of recycled plastic fence posts, is fighting for its future after an arson attack caused more than $1 million in damage to our Waiuku facility.

Although the person responsible has been caught, the financial impact has left us in a critical cash flow crisis. Without immediate support, Future Post may be forced to close its doors.

For years, we've transformed New Zealand's waste plastic into durable, long-lasting fence posts, diverting millions of plastic bottles and soft plastics from landfill and giving them a second life. Our work also supports New Zealand's soft plastics recycling network, helping ensure the plastic collected at participating supermarkets continues to be recycled.

If Future Post closes, New Zealand loses more than a manufacturer. We lose local jobs, valuable recycling infrastructure, and an innovative circular economy solution that has taken years to build.

Every donation, large or small, will help us recover from this devastating event, protect local jobs, and keep plastic out of landfill.

Please help us get back on our feet and ensure this proudly New Zealand innovation continues for generations to come.

Yes, we had insurance, but this has only covered $186,000 of what we need to keep the doors open.

Use of funds:
Recovering from the arson attack, site clean-up, replacing destroyed stock, restoring operations, and covering lost revenue caused by damaged products. Every dollar helps us rebuild, protect local jobs, and keep New Zealand's plastic recycling moving.

Jet-lagged pondering...

Horse owners often want a magic fix. We expect our vet, farrier, dentist, saddle fitter or body worker to solve the problem in one visit. But what if something still isn't right?

Saddle adjusted, rechecked, re flocked but horse no longer wants to go forward. Change saddle fitter?

Horses feet are shod but feet keep getting worse... your told "It's the weather" or "it's breeding." Change farrier?

Thousands spent on a lameness work-up, only to discover the horse has severe thrush. What would you do?

Six months after a dental your horse has major hooks again. Did the dentist miss them ! Or does he need more regular check ups. Mine now gets checked every three months because that's what he needs. Would you have changed dentist !

You buy a horse that's sold as suitable, but it's far too green for the rider. The dealer won't take it back, but offers to resell it for $500 a week. Three months later it still hasn't sold. What would you do?

A body worker tells you that horse has torn muscle and suggests a serious condition like kissing spines, and that horse should be put to sleep !! but the real issue turns out to be a check ligament injury.

A trimmer leaves your horse so sore it can barely walk, then won't come back to reassess it.

Every one of these examples I've either experienced or witnessed.

When we're unhappy, most of us simply move on to another professional. But should that be our only option?

Who do you contact when you genuinely believe you've received poor service?

The reality is that many equine service providers aren't regulated or required to belong to a professional body. That can leave horse owners with little recourse when things go wrong.

Should there be better regulation and accountability to protect both horse owners and, most importantly, our horses?

What are your thoughts?
