🛻ROADTRIP🛻

Tauranga to Auckland

Yesterday was an Awesome day out!
We finally stopped in at Waihi Town Cats
Op shop in waihi and dropped some cat donations in, ofc there was a kitty in store 💜cute!
What a Pawsome shop!! 💜🐾
Loved it
The gorge was closed 🦺🦺🚨so it was all the way bk to Tauranga and over the kaimais 😊

Made it though and picked up some Jimbo's thankyou to our dear friend at The Animal Sanctuary ♥️🙏

We made it back later in the evening,
Stopped for a break.. I got a shock ⚡ from the electric fence after Tim said watch that fence 😆

Anyway Got home to some very happy dogs...
Sorted the food out...then lost my phone🥺😝
Thought I'd buried it amongst donations as I often do but I'd left it on top of the car so it went on a journey then got ran over 😝

🎀Keeping our Food stocked is an ongoing challenge here we appreciate every single donation that comes in and so do the dogs it helps us support!!!! 🎀

Meet Teddy!

Teddy is a friendly and social pup who enjoys interacting with people and spending time with other dogs. Teddy has a lovely nature and is enjoying learning new things.

As Teddy is still young, he is at the beginning of his training journey and will need continued guidance, patience and consistency. He is currently learning basic commands and is making a good start with sit and paw. His new family will also need to continue working with him on toilet training, lead walking and general puppy manners.

Teddy will benefit from a home that can provide plenty of positive reinforcement, appropriate exercise, socialisation and ongoing training as he grows.

Meet Hank!

Hank is a boisterous, intelligent young dog who has already shown us that he is eager to learn and responds well to training.

Hank is very people-focused and has been well behaved when spending time outside of his kennel. He enjoys exploring, playing with toys and receiving plenty of attention and belly scratches. He is also comfortable having toys taken from him.

Hank walks well on a lead and, considering he has had limited previous lead training, he has taken to it naturally. He will occasionally pick up the lead in his mouth, but doesn't attempt to run off and is happy to continue walking alongside you.

Hank is an energetic and clever young dog who will benefit from continued training, consistency and positive guidance. He has a lovely personality and plenty of potential to become a wonderful companion for the right family.

One of our Most challenging and ongoing battles here is to keep our Food supply going ,,

At Bilbo's we not only feed those in Rescue Care but we are Also here to help feed Dogs in our community by Providing Food parcels to those experiencing financial difficulties.

These are Requested on a daily basis & we will also deliver when possible to those who do not have transport
Our supports and services are having a Pawsitive outcome helping Keep Pets out of shelters and with there owners , and Providing a place for them to Reach out for assistance without judgement..

No dog should ever be hungry,

Pets are whanau too & Anyone in need will Receive support & ongoing care until they are back on there feet 💜

Meet and greet ..

Today we met with Tilly's New Mum ,
The connection between them was made instantly 🥲 and she was Ready to go in the van riding sh***un.. HUGE smile on her absolutely Adorable little face!
She snuggled up to her new ma and laid on her lap the whole way home 🥰
Which is local! so we will see her again! 💜💜

She's met her Paw buddy and they had a fabulous zoomie together 😄💜 💜

Alot of Adopters & ,Supporters always say" I don't know how you do it id want to keep them ALL!!"

And Yes I do fall in love with every single one that comes through our doors! , they are all my babies , I care for them and love them all to peices especially the broken ones or the ones dumped, neglected...
I spend every day with them nursing them back to health and loving them,building there confidence and trust
, It's ALWAYS a tearful moment when I must let them go , a mix of emotions , tearful, happy, but pawsitive and rewarding vibe knowing that you have found them a stable loving home
I HAVE to let them each go because there is another dog in need who needs us ,
Another broken soul who needs to be healed ,,
soooo we carry on the mission!

but not ONE of them is ever forgotten
each in there own way has left pawprints on my heart! 💯💜
